'The Help' stars line up new projects

Fresh off their wins at the Screen Actors Guild awards, "The Help's" Octavia Spencer (who has also nabbed a Golden Globe for her role in the movie) and Viola Davis are looking toward future projects.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Spencer, who is up for the best supporting actress Oscar, has signed on for the sci-fi film "Snow Piercer."

Directed by Joon-ho Bong, "Snow Piercer" tells the story of a future in which an Ice Age kills off everyone except those aboard a train that crosses the globe thanks to its perpetual-motion engine.

When a revolt against the class system of the train emerges, Spencer's character joins in to save her son.

Tilda Swinton, Chris Evans, John Hurt and Korean actor Kang-ho Song have also signed on to the project.

Meanwhile, Spencer's co-star Viola Davis, who's nominated for a best actress Oscar, has two new projects on her plate. Variety reports that Davis will appear in the highly anticipated adaptations of the books "Ender's Game" and "Beautiful Creatures."

"Ender's" centers on talented strategist Ender Wiggins (played by Asa Butterfield), who's recruited to a military school to train to take down an alien race. Davis will portray a military psychologist who watches over the emotional well-being of the trainees in the futuristic film, which is being directed by Gavin Hood.

"Beautiful Creatures," directed by Richard LaGravenese, tells the story of two teens working to understand a curse that has been haunting the young woman's family for generations. Davis will play a librarian who was also the friend of the young man's deceased mother.

I'm equipped with asualst rifle but I can shoot only single shoots. I was checked control section but not find any switch from single to auto. It's strange because I was seen lot of players using auto fire. Is it depend to level or any modification or maybe I can't find proper switch in control menu ? Any help is appreciated редактировалось: Aug 28 2011 12:50 PM UTC (111 д. назад)

I can't even begin to know how difficult it is to make it in Hollyweird, as a person of color when the directors, writers & producers (mostly white) are so committed to stereotypical narratives of Black, Latin & Asian people's. I mean a film is essentially the fantasy of each on some level. Good luck in the newer material, it's more worthy of any black actress. I mean, in reality we have Condolezza Rice and Michelle Obama, yet Hollyweirder than weird, wants a display that takes us back. Well, not surprised...alot of white society wants to. 🙁

I am happy that these two women have found additional opportunities and I hope the other stars in"The Help" would be similarly blessed.

I am VERY happy to see both these ladies enjoying some success – They have worked VERY hard and tirelessly to achieve their place in Hollywood! Congratulations, Ladies! Now, let's take it all the way home with an OSCAR!!! Viola Davis was superior in that one movie with Denzel Washington ~ The story of the one african-american male who was in the Navy and needed to find his family! I knew then that she was POWERFUL and sh e only had 2 lines in the ENTIRE movie. AMAZING part! Look at you now, girl! GO! GO! GO! Congratulations to you both! Let's continue to WIN!
