'Arrested Development' crew working on new episodes

The idea of new "Arrested Development" episodes may have felt a little too good to be true, but producer Dean Lorey has helpfully provided those anxiously awaiting the show's return with an update.

On his blog, he assures fans that the project is in full swing - with creator Mitch Hurwitz and writer Jim Vallely joining him at the writers table to crank out a new season.

In November of last year, Netflix announced that the new episodes of "Arrested Development" would be available for U.S. Netflix subscribers to stream instantly at some point in 2013.

Better yet, "the original cast is back," Lorey revealed. "There are offices and parking spaces. We're shooting this year."

Although he couldn't give more details (including the show's shooting schedule), Lorey reassures that "it's happening, and it's great to be back with my pals from the show."

Hopefully the often-talked about potential movie isn't too far behind.

What's up everybody, I know YouTube video carries less bytes of memory due to that its quality is awful, but this YouTube video has fantastic picture quality.

I prefer to watch Two and a Half Men because it uses a laugh track to tell me what's funny, so I don't have to think about it.

Your only comments are on the comments of others & I'm the troll? What's dumber than a troll? A troll that doesn't even know he's a troll.

I gotta give these trolls credit for their complete stupidity and unoriginality, but this guy takes the cake. Commenting just for the sake of commenting? Really? So does he just comment on every single article he reads, even if he doesn't have anything to say? He even admitted he had nothing on this one! Please CNN, get off your a$$ and start screening your comment sections. Sorry, but screw the First Amendment on this one. Freedom of speech applies to humans only, not trolls.

This is a truly funny show. One of the best. Having said that, the last season looked like it was struggling a bit and so had the marriage business that just didn't work. Every character stands out. Bring it on!

I think S3 struggled to be as good because Fox cut it down to 13 episodes and they were rushed to tie up loose threads.

Well, I've never seen that TV Show, but it appears to be very funny! Here in Brazil, we have good humorous telecasts, like "The Scare is us” and ”Total Hullabaloo”. In my childhood I used to stay many hours watching tv... I liked a lot!

Arrested Development is why most sitcoms just aren't funny, but it's a real easy formula. Just take brilliant writers, have them write hilarious scripts that don't telegraph every joke or require a laugh track (for stupid people), give those scripts to brilliant comedic actors and have them filmed by a brilliant talented director. Unfortunately a show like AD only comes around once every 50 years. If you detest shows like Big Bang and Two and a Half Man, just go out and buy the 3 seasons on DVD of AD and watch them from beginning to end. You're welcome.

    • Yea...

Seriously. Laugh tracks are used so the morons watching can recognize the jokes and make themselves laugh along with the studio audience like good little thoughtless lemmings. Laugh tracks aren't necessary when the show is actually funny.

@Guest- yes, i know what they are talking about. do you? To understand the troll, you must know the troll, live with the troll, learn its habits. Some trolls are better than others, most though (examples above) are not. I miss the days when these boards were funny. People actually made fun of the posts and postee. Now its just random sillyness.

Oh youth where have you gone?

This show is nothing but a cheap ripoff of the great series called Stargate. The special effects are just terrible though. Thoroughly unwatchable rubbish for fans of PBS and Dr. WHO.
