Vanessa Paradis speaks out on split rumors

All eyes have been on Vanessa Paradis this week as she's been spotted attending events solo, fueling more gossip that her nearly 14-year relationship with Johnny Depp is on the rocks.

On Tuesday, the French singer/actress was asked how she handles the rumors that she and Depp are leading separate lives and have basically ended their relationship, and she shrugged off the reports.

"It depends which rumor," she said, according to People magazine.

"Here, this is one that could hurt my family. After that...they say that we have 52 houses in France, we separate in the winter, we get married every summer," she continued. "Me, I'm in my 12th pregnancy. All this is, I don't know, because the Queen of England didn't lose her teeth this week and there's nothing happening."

But more to the point: "Yes," Paradis said, the rumors "are false."

Depp, 48, and Paradis, 39, have two children together: Lily-Rose, 12, and Jack, 9. Previously, "multiple sources" have told People magazine that Paradis' relationship with Depp is "all but officially finished."

  Good for you. I, too, try not to get sad when complete strangers whom I've never met spilt up. It's difficult, but hang in there Jose; the shock of the tragedy will ease with time.

  Hey thanks Ms. Paradis, I too along with Jose had concerns and worry. Was not really losing sleep over it, but I am a fan of Mr. Depp and wish him happiness, which he appears to have found with his family. Rumors start to sell papers just like Ms.Paradis mentions. We the public need to quit buying the trash mags we all know are full of BS.
