While you were working...Today's news you might've missed:
Brandy and Monica team up again for new singleThis is a '90s throwback we wholeheartedly support: Brandy and Monica are collaborating again for a new single. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the two R&B stars have reunited on a song called "It All Belongs To Me." That title to us sounds like an apt follow-up to their 1998 hit "The Boy Is Mine," but THR doesn't specify. When "The Boy Is Mine" was released in 14 years ago, it stayed on the charts for 13 weeks, became the year's top-selling single, and won a Grammy for best R&B performance by a duo or group. Paris Hilton has another album on the way, and it'll involve AfrojackPrepare your ears for more of the husky tones of Paris Hilton's voice - we're assuming this will feature her real voice, not the baby one - because the heiress has a second album on the way. Hilton, 30, spilled to MTV at a Golden Globes after-party that she's been in the studio cranking out more music. "It's completely different from my last album," the former "Simple Life" star said. "I'm going with a whole new genre. I have Afrojack executive-producing the entire album." Dr. Drew has another 'Rehab' - but without celebsGiving recovering stars a break from showing their struggles with addiction on national TV, Dr. Drew Pinsky is taking the "celebrity" out of his VH1 reality show and is opting to work more with everyday people. Pinsky's new program is tentatively being called "Rehab with Dr. Drew," and will "follow the real-life experiences of young adults who are struggling with addiction as they undergo the same detoxification and treatment plan at The Pasadena Recovery Center" that was featured on the "Celebrity Rehab" version, a statement says. The idea is to reflect the struggles of the network's core demographic, and so "Rehab with Dr. Drew" will focus on 20- and 30-somethings who are trying to get clean and gain a fresh start. Lady Gaga, Twitter queen, now has 18 million followersLady Gaga's reign as Twitter royalty - she named herself queen of the social network two years ago - is going strong. The superstar has reached 18 million Twitter followers, and she acknowledged her growing legion with, of course, a tweet. "Can't believe I have 18,000,000 TwitterMonsters, really rad, was just a few years ago I had barely any," Gaga posted over the weekend. Trailing behind are Justin Bieber (16 million); Katy Perry (almost 14 million); and Shakira and Kim Kardashian, who are nearly neck and neck with over 12 million followers. Things don't add up on 'Pretty Little Liars'I’m confused. First we’re led to believe that Lucas is working with A to torture the girls. Then, in an anti-climactic twist, we find out he simply gambled away Caleb’s life savings on a basketball tournament. Things aren’t adding up. For one, Lucas seems too logical to gamble on a sporting event. And secondly, what basketball tournament is he betting on in the middle of January? |
