The first episode of "Fringe" for 2012 on Friday night was also one of the best episodes of the season.

Now that Peter is back (but obviously a man in the wrong universe), things have really revved up on the show (and just in time, as the possibility of another season is looking bleak).

Peter and Lincoln jumped into the parallel world, with two very different goals. Lincoln wanted to stop the shapeshifters (and Olivia believed, for good reason, that Walternate is behind them), while Peter just wanted to figure out how to get home.
