Lindsay Lohan in early talks to play Liz Taylor?Perhaps instead of posing in a Marilyn Monroe-inspired shoot for Playboy, Lindsay Lohan should've been working on her Elizabeth Taylor portrayal. Reports are circulating that the embattled actress may have the opportunity to play the Hollywood legend on TV. Deadline has heard that Lohan, 25, is in "early talks" to play Dame Taylor in a Lifetime original movie called "Elizabeth & Richard: A Love Story."
The TV film will follow the epic, highly publicized romance between Taylor and actor Richard Burton, and would be written by "Temple Grandin" scribe Christopher Monger. Lindsay's rep, however, is staying quiet on the reports. He tells CNN in a statement, "We're not commenting on hearsay or comments made by unnamed sources.” What do you think - can you picture Lindsay as Elizabeth Taylor?

If she is going to play Elizabeth Taylor then the question comes up. One of Elizabeth Taylor's first roles was in the movie "National Velvet." Who is going to play the horse?
Let's see, she doesn't resemble Ms. Taylor in build or coloring (not that that matters...) nor has she developed the subtle technique of portraying a second-rate actress who was also first-rate star and human being. (that probably doesn't matter either, right?) . It could be argued that Ms. Lohan could draw on her own experiences with substance abuse to understand some of Miss Taylor's problems but that would mean Ms. Lohan would have to admit she's developed real substance abuse problems so that's not likely either. Tell me again: why would she be right for this role?
Doesn't anybody realize that SHE is the one leaking these rumors. She's always rumored to be playing someone big – marilyn, liz, jackie O...but she never does.
What a bunch of haters!!! Get over it. Lindsay's only problem is lack of adult supervision which turned into being advised by vultures. She is the typical young woman who went astray and her parents actually profited from her misfortunes. She needs guidance and not people who want to take advantage. Who out there would want EVERY mistake they ever made being publicized. I say give her a chance to redeem herself. It's too early to toss her talent away. Yes she can act!
Lindsey is a good actress, I think she could pull this off. I'm all for second chances, third, fourth, fifth ect.........

This would be disrespectful to Liz Taylor. There is no way that Liz Taylor would puff up her lips or fill in her face with Botox. At Lohan's age Liz was a picture of perfection. Flawless. All you would see on the screen is a puffy ex actress who has no control of herself or her life.. Albeit she was a terrific actress at one point. For whatever crazy reason many of these young actresses have chosen to ruin their features – faces of stone. With HD TV you can see every puffy lip and featureless face.The only way to stop it is not to attend any of their movies.

As much as I'd like to see this embattled "C-leb" get her shyte together, this has to be the most stupid suggestion to date, in her career! Aside from her "writing" a book! Pick a part, any part, but leave La Liz out of it! This part calls for some1 who looks like her & has some class & integrity! Mila Kunis would be perfect or Megan Fox! In the 90's Sherilynn Fenn played Liz in a movie & did a very believable depiction! That's the caliber of actress needed!!

Liz Taylor was always a timeless beauty, who also was a very charitable women. For Lindsay Lohan to portray her, being the fine upstanding classless person that she is, is nothing but an insult to Liz.

First of all Liz Taylor was a very Classy Lady. She was always clean, and dressed to kill. And Very Pretty. She was not always fat. That came with Age and sickness. Lohan is dirty looking. She could do not justice to playing Liz Taylor. I don't know who they could find. But Please don't use Lohan.
I agree that she always looks dirty. Her hands are rough and scarred and she just looks unwashed. I just can't see her playing an icon like Liz. I too would like to see her get her life back on track.

Lohan may be an actress, but she's mediocre at best. Natalie Portman would be the ideal candidate to play Liz because she is a top-notch actress but also with makeup could even resemble a younger, beautiful Liz Taylor. Can you picture it? I can.
