With more than a decade in show business under her belt, Christina Aguilera is all too familiar with the criticism that comes with being in the spotlight.
While speaking at the winter Television Critics Association press event for her NBC singing competition "The Voice," Aguilera said snide remarks about her weight aren't bringing her down.
"Women, we are definitely under a microscope and under massive scrutiny," the 31-year-old singer told the press. "As long as I am happy in my own skin, that is all the confirmation I need."
She points to the music video work she's done for songs like "Dirrty" and "Lady Marmalade," saying that she's clearly been at ease with her body despite what onlookers were saying. "I've been no stranger to being comfortable in my own skin to take those risks," she said.
Not that she needs it, but Aguilera notes that her boyfriend Matt Rutler is also one of her biggest fans.
"I have a boyfriend that loves my body," she shares. "I love my body, my son is healthy and happy and that is all that matters."
