Van Halen announces tour, album release datesSince sharing their intent to get back on the road with frontman David Lee Roth in 2012, Van Halen is giving fans some stops to mark on their calendars. The tour will launch in Louisville, Kentucky on February 18 at the KFC Yum! Center, and will wrap up in New Orleans on June 26. Tickets will go on sale for the first 13 or so stops starting January 14. (Pre-sale starts January 10.) And if you can't make it to a concert, Van Halen also has a new album coming out.
Called "A Different Kind of Truth," that record will be released on February 7. As we mentioned before, this album will be Van Halen's first studio offering with Roth since their hit "1984," which was released on the last day of 1983. The set list for the concerts will include some of Van Halen's hits like "Jump"; "“Panama" and "Hot For Teacher," as well as some tracks from the new album. Following Van Halen's opening stop in Kentucky, the band will play Detroit on February 20; Chicago on February 24; New York on February 28 and March 1; Uncasville, Connecticut on March 3; and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on March 5. This is a joke. I'm taking bets they won't even make it all the way through the tour before Roth is bounced again. And without Michael Anthony, it is NOT Van Halen. Eddie's kid is good, but he's a /kid/.
Instead of bottles of Cuervo, bottles of Viagra. Instead of male thong underwear, male depends diapers. The after parties held at Sizzler buffet restaurants. Good times. -Art
Wouldn't go see these guys after Eddy replace the bass player with his son.
Well, one thing for sure, they will not do anything from the Sammy Hagar days because 1) Roth cannot sing the songs he recorded with VH anymore and 2) he in n way could EVER sing anything in the range that Hagar sang and finally, nothing against Eddie's son but without Michael Anthony's background vocals (the VH sound), it will not be the same, at least live anyway.
Who's the sponsor? Metamucil? (Yes, I stole the joke but Sit-com characters can't sue)
All of you VH haters suck!!!!! 1 ball or a Britney/Tiger screw up...give it a rest!!! One of the best bands in history! They are back & Y'all (USA) don't have to deal with Nickleback.....
I agree with Vromo/RippleRox...haters suck and 'Observer' needs to worry more about the soap dropping more than media stories...just sayin'!! If you say it's gay ...then you must know it is....Step out !
Uh, these are one of those posts that people flag .If "they" don't have an eye on you before, hopefully they will now
yawn...
I have to say, that these days they look more like Van Gaylen...just sayin.
Um, I guess time has a way of erasing certain memories. You've seem to forgotten about the "Jump" video as well as Roth's assless pants.
Are you implying that Roth is gay (perish the thought)?
All of you get Fs for today. F for classroom participation. Plus I am sending notes home for your parents to sign. Bad children.. Bad.

Now we know why he and his wife made a big deal on the plane last week with Al Roker. They were looking for free publicity. Thought the story sounded weird.
