Has Steven Tyler proposed?According to TMZ, "American Idol” judge Steven Tyler might be engaged to longtime girlfriend Erin Brady. The 63-year-old rocker and his 38-year-old lady love were photographed in Maui on Christmas, with Erin flaunting a rather large diamond solitaire. The bauble could be nothing at all, but TMZ cites sources who claim the pair are indeed engaged. Tyler’s manager, Eric Sherman, tells CNN that he has “no comment.”
The Aerosmith frontman has been with Erin, a model, since 2006. People also reports on her new bling, noting that Tyler was married to clothing designer Teresa Barrick from 1988 to 2006, and to late ex-Warhol model Cyrinda Foxe from 1978 to 1987. The singer has four children: actress Liv Tyler (with Bebe Buell), model Mia Tyler (with Foxe), and Chelsea and Taj Tallarico (his real last name) with Barrick.

And yeah, I'm sure there are plenty of ladies much younger than him that connect with his songs and his passion, and I'm sure he's got enough ladies throwing themselves at him that he wouldn't settle for some money-grubber.

This is my opinion. While I don't know for sure,there is a possibility of hidden motives especially on the part of the lady. The age gap is too much except she does not put into consideration emotional satisfaction. I'm aware of stimulants as well as enhancements for men however I doubt if he has much energy to sustain its potency.

Well, I don't really give a damn about age factor since my husband was 22 years older than me and we had a great 20 years together. And of course, we didn't have the money that he possesses. I guess it's how you look at it–he's got tons of money and that plays a factor sometimes on relationships. Personally, let people live their lives their own way...it doesn't affect me!
In this case I don't think it's about the age difference, he looks freaky creepy as long as I could remember him. There are a lot more celebrities around his age who look less freaky. He always reminded me of a drag queen.

Hope she has a good nursing home picked out. He will be dead within 15 years or so, he has lived a hard life...she will still be young and vital, never a good idea to marry someone much older, it seems great in your younger years until you realize down the road the younger person will be left ALONE for DECADES. That's why our grandparents and great grand parents married someone only 2-3 years different. It's not a pretty picture. Marry someone with no more than 10 year age difference.
Amen. I would even say don't go beyond + or – 5 years your own age.
Also, don't forget about male bio clock issues. Sperm banks don't take donations from men over age 35 for several reasons, the chromosomal deterioration of their sperm, among others.
Kids need a lot more from their dads than $ and sperm (especially if it's deteriorating).
That's not a bad gig for the lady. She has her retirement plan all figured out. 15 years, spending his money and making him happy. I wish I could find a rich cougar.

I agree. 18 year difference between my husband and I... and we're about to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We're best buds, 100%, and have a kid in grad school. Never will argue against age differences because it really is just one aspect of a relationship... you need to look beyond age and focus on the stuff that DOES matter. My beef isn't with Steven and his relationship. My beef IS with CNN glomping onto this bit of FOX generated "news" as though it were real news. It's so conveniently timed to the start of AI's next season. I hate being so obviously manipulated.
