Lady Gaga gives dad half of her earnings?Move over Jessica Simpson. Apparently Lady Gaga – born Stefani Germanotta – just may be the ultimate Daddy’s Girl. The New York Post reports that Joe Germanotta pockets half of his pop star daughter’s paychecks under their LLCs, Team Love Child and Mermaid Music. Maureen Callahan, author of “Poker Face: The Rise and Rise of Lady Gaga,” writes that while the Mother Monster is close to mom Cynthia and sister Natali, her real focus is dad.
Joe Germanotta is often mentioned adoringly in interviews. "I'm married to my dad," the singer told Elle last year. Later, she revealed to Vanity Fair, "I'm happier than I've ever been. I've been in my father's arms for two weeks, wishing [him] a Happy Father's Day." And despite her deep pockets, 25-year-old Gaga hasn’t purchased a place in NYC – she prefers to stay with her parents on the Upper East Side. As for her father’s financial compensation, experts say that Joe’s 50 percent take is unusual. “Certainly no artist entering a management deal does anything close to that — a commission is usually 15 to 20 percent,” entertainment lawyer Josh Grier tell the Post. Lady Gaga’s ABC variety special, “A Very Gaga Thanksgiving,” airs Thursday night. She’ll reportedly be home with mom and dad when it comes on. Then again, it is Thanksgiving.

I started reading about Lady Gaga after her performance for Bill Clinton's birthday. She surprises me as a smart, talented and good person! I did not expect a wild singer like her as a such person.
A successful pop singer who adores her dad and still living with her parents ? There are not many performers in the world doing that. She broke the mold of the typical wild entertainers.

The comments about marrying her dad and being in his arms are most likely for effect. Carefully cultivated weirdness is common in the 20's, much less for someone who makes millions from it.
With all of her eclectic artisanship and showmanship, it is probably at a higher level than just for effect. She really has a state of mind that hovers amongst genius. I suspect, and perceive it as a metaphor on being proximal to her paternal center, which, for someone who is so capable of independant thought and accomplishment.... is phenomenally well grounded in her family. She is magnificent.

I don't think she has a "wiener" but so what if she did? One out of every 2,000 baby's have genitals that are different enough to where you can't immediately tell if they are male or female! It amazes me how ignorant people are about the human body. Just like Bush pushing the only 1 man & 1 woman marriage; he obviously wasn't aware there are many who are neither or both!

In just 3-4 short years, this girl has amassed a $120M fortune. An amount it takes most Superstars 20 to 30 years to make. So who cares if she gives her parents 50%. At this rate she will certainly be worth $250M in another 2 years.
She may dress and look like a nut job, but she's smart and sharp as a tack. Listen to her in an interview, she has complete control of herself and her finances. And she's already started her own charitible foundation that she runs with her Mother.
She's smart and caring and is making history. Something most of us posting can't even dream of.

I admire Lady Gaga for giving to her dad. I just wish my dad was still alive i would do the same thing.. Unfortunately he died when i was 11 years old. It still hurts that i was never able to say Good bye

Daddy's girl here... neither married to him or in his arms for weeks. Creepy. Giving half to parents seems reasonable to me. My son is grown, if I were pulling millions, I'd give him (and his WIFE) half. Half to dad and MOM would work. I'd make funds for the gkids, too.
In this day and age giving Mom and Dad 50 percent is unusual but I'm sure Dad is making sure she has money when she gets older. Lady Gaga has a boyfriend in Lancaster Pa. seems like a very nice normal guy here parents would love. Lady Gaga has been in the local news the last couple of months. Everyone who has met her says she is the nicest person and many of the places she frequents did not even know who she was. The waiters bartenders said she is a great tipper, and does not ask for anything special. It sounds like her parents did a nice job raising her, but remember she is only 25 and young adults like to have fun. It's funny I thought she was a wacko and she is just the opposite.
