Brett Ratner apologizes for gay slurAccording to New York Magazine's Vulture, "Tower Heist" director Brett Ratner has apologized for remarking that "rehearsal is for fags" at a premiere over the weekend. Ratner told The Wrap, "I apologize for any offense my remarks caused. It was a dumb way of expressing myself. Everyone who knows me knows that I don’t have a prejudiced bone in my body. But as a storyteller I should have been much more thoughtful about the power of language and my choice of words." But is that enough? The director is slated to produce the Oscars, but some critics are campaigning to have him dismissed from the job.
The blog Grantland features a piece called "Why the Academy Should Fire Brett Ratner," in which Mark Harris argues that had the slur been racial or religious in nature, there’d be no question that Ratner would be fired. "You don’t get a mulligan on homophobia,” Harris writes. “Not in 2011." GLAAD has also spoken out about Ratner's comment, calling it "unacceptable." But Tom Sherak, the president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, gave a statement to Deadline that suggests he’s standing behind Ratner, slurs and all. "The bottom line is, this won’t and can’t happen again. It will not happen again. He apologized and we will move forward,” Sherak said. “How do I know this? I’ve known this man for a very long time. He has many friends who are members of the gay and lesbian community. The apology he gave I truly believe comes from his heart. If it didn’t believe it, I would do something about it. This is about integrity and honoring the Academy Awards, but we all make mistakes and I believe he didn’t mean it." And that's not all: Ratner has also been speaking freely about Lindsay Lohan. While on Howard Stern's radio show Monday, Ratner bragged about sleeping with the actress “before she was actually ‘Lindsay Lohan.’ She was really young.” He also says that he didn't actually sleep with Olivia Munn: "I said I banged her three times, which isn't true."

We've heard it over and over again, from massive billboards to your warning labels on cig packets: Smoking cigarettes really are a danger to your health. But it seems like the more we hear that, the more it seems like the words somehow managed to lose its efficiency. Smoke assist has emerged as an alternative for smokers who have had struggles with getting themselves faraway from smoking a cigarette.
Smokers are attracted to tobacco cigarettes because the nicotine in them is very addictive, offers psychotropic effects, and that makes the users hooked on to the cigarette. I was looking for an escape from this addiction. I hated the idea of being hooked with anything. Even worse, it's burning holes in my own pockets. Smoke Assist is a alternative I was looking for.
My girlfriend didnâ??t like my smoking habit as well, and so it really began getting on my own nerves. does indeed work, and I learned this only after trying it out. There was like the trial in the offering, so I figured there was no harm as long as it didnâ??t cost everything. The idea of cigarettes a smoke assist digital cigarette was so intriguing that i tried it out with regard to novelty, and today, and I got way more than As i expected.

I actually work with the focus at Google Earth and so I see so many cool uses of this tool. That said, I must say this is so cnpoellimg. As someone who likes the idea of development in general and in that neighborhood, I can clearly see how this is every bit out of scale, too dense and way too aggressive a proposal. Phenomenal work!

Also..."While on Howard Stern's radio show Monday, Ratner bragged about sleeping with the actress “before she was actually ‘Lindsay Lohan.’ She was really young.”" – Ignoring for a moment that Lindsay was billed as herself at the age of 11 when she did The Parent Trap, I'm going to assume Ratner is referring to having slept with Lindsay at some point before Mean Girls – when she was 17. Ratner would have been 34 at the time.
Note to Brett Ratner : learning to stop bragging about things like this NOW would be very good for you,
