Unseen Steve Jobs interview coming to theatersIf the best-selling biography hasn't satiated your need for Steve Jobs info, good news: previously missing footage from a 1996 interview is heading to the big screen. The Los Angeles Times reports that film from the PBS miniseries “Triumph of the Nerds: The Rise of Accidental Empires” is to become a documentary titled “Steve Jobs: The Lost Interview.” The doc, depicting a conversation with the late Apple co-founder, will be shown in Landmark Theatres on November 16 and 17.
The interview caught Jobs between Apple gigs, and he angrily tells of his firing and how betrayed he felt. The tech genius goes off on Apple and rival Microsoft, but also shows a lighter side, describing a prank phone call he made with a friend. "He was great that day," filmmaker Robert Cringely said of the interview. "He was a cranky guy. I think we see that." Cringely only used 10 minutes of his 70-minute interview with Jobs, and he wanted to use more of the footage in his sequel, "Nerds 2.0.1: A Brief History of the Internet." But he discovered the footage was gone, and assumed it was lost. It turned out that “Triumph of the Nerds” director Paul Sen had simply stored the interview tape in his garage. After Jobs’ death a month ago, Sen retrieved the footage, and suggested to Cringely that they release it to the public. "I have three kids I have to put through college, so I thought maybe we could sell it," Cringely said. He set up a deal with Landmark. You can watch "Steve Jobs: The Lost Interview" in Landmark Theatres in 17 cities around the country, including Los Angeles, New York and Silicon Valley, naturally. |

Hey I just realized something, In the last 10 years we lost Steve Jobs, Bob Hope & Johnny Cash. Now we have no Jobs, no Hope & no Cash I'm just sayin!
From what I have read he was a fairly unpleasant, arrogant, and overbearing man who enjoyed intimidating people, and refused cutting-edge treatment for the only pancreatic cancer that has a decent chance of being cured because he didn't want his body "violated," and then used up a perfectly good donor liver in an 11th-hour bid to buy himself the ultimate do-over. Guess what, if you have pancreatic cancer your body has been violated already. I hope the souls of Chinese 10-year-old factory workers are gnawing at his spirit right now.
And next year... in 3D!!!
"With my dying breath, I will keep taking money from you"
