Charlie Sheen to return to TV on FX

He's baaack.

Not an entire year has passed since Charlie Sheen was fired oh-so-publicly from his job on "Two and a Half Men," but you can already expect to see the actor back to his old sitcom ways - but on a new show.

As we reported earlier, Sheen's set to star in a sitcom called "Anger Management," one based off the Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson feature of the same name that was released in 2003.

The movie told the story of a businessman who was sent to an anger management program only to meet an unstable counselor.

According to Deadline, Sheen will portray a variation of Nicholson's crazy therapist, and the producer of that film, Joe Roth, is executive producing the series along with Sheen and "Drew Carey Show" creator Bruce Helford, who will also serve as writer.

Sheen explained at the time that he chose "'Anger Management' because, while it might be a big stretch to play a guy with serious anger management issues, I think it's a great concept." Plus, he added, the program "provides me with real ownership in the series, a certain amount of creative control and the chance to be back in business with one of my favorite movie producers of all time, Joe Roth."

FX clearly thinks this is a smart move as well, since the network has picked up the show for a trial 10-episode run. According to Entertainment Weekly, "Anger Management" will debut next summer.

Wow, so Sheen’s gonna do, it huh? And he found a home on FX? Interesti9ng move for FX, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see if the show is any good or not. Either way I’m sure glad I’m not a DirecTV customer right now….this contract negotiation between Direct and FOX could mean that DirecTV’s customers could lose FX. As a DISH customer/employee I don’t need to worry about this, as DISH just signed a contract with FOX last year to make sure this kind of thing doesn’t happen.

Good geezo – then why did you read the article...? We can't wait to see this with Sheen. Go watch Two and A Half, it is going nowhere and isn't funny plus having to resort to man kissing to get an audiance. Poor choice on their part if they are trying to be inovative, funny or whatever.
