'Playboy Club' to be replaced by Brian WilliamsIt was slammed by critics from the very first episode, so it’s no surprise that NBC’s “The Playboy Club” has been axed after just three episodes. CNN can confirm that “Rock Center with Brian Williams” will replace the sexy '60s drama. Beginning October 31, the newsmagazine show will take over the failed show’s time slot. Until then, repeats of “Prime Suspect,” starring Maria Bello, will air on Mondays at 10 p.m. Since “The Playboy Club” premiered September 20 to 5 million viewers, ratings have dropped consistently with each episode. The most recent episode had 3.2 million viewers, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Adele cancels U.S. tour datesStateside Adele fans were so close to seeing the Brit phenom live, but she's pulled the plug on a collection of U.S. tour dates once again. A statement from her label says the "Someone Like You" crooner "has been forced to cancel her upcoming 10 city sold-out tour of the U.S. due to a hemorrhage into her vocal chord." As you'll recall, Adele had to cancel earlier stops in the States due to laryngitis, but soon after rescheduled them. Ron Howard rains on your 'Arrested Development' paradeFilmmaker Ron Howard visited G4 network’s "Attack of the Show" on Monday to discuss the promised “Arrested Development” episodes and movie, and was sure to emphasize what creator Mitchell Hurwitz noted about the business hurdles. “Arrested Development” producer and narrator Howard did confirm that Hurwitz is working on a screenplay, but added that details still need to be put in place. "Everybody at every studio and company is very supportive of the idea, but there's much to be worked out," Howard said. Owen Wilson spills 'Zoolander 2' secretsOwen Wilson's busily promoting his upcoming movie "The Big Year," and he's been dishing on the sequel to “Zoolander" along the way.
