'Sister, Sister' stars Tia and Tamera Mowry, all grown upActresses Tia and Tamera Mowry's hit Style Network reality show, "Tia & Tamera," has been renewed for a second season. Best known for their '90s sitcom "Sister, Sister," (TGIF lineup, anyone?) the identical twins are now 33-years-old. Tamera, who was born two minutes before Tia, recently married Fox News correspondent Adam Housley. Tia was Tamera's very pregnant maid of honor, and "The Game" actress - who wed actor Cory Hardrict back in 2008 - gave birth to son Cree in June. Tia and Tamera are still acting, and they also run their own production company, Twilight Productions (no affiliation with Edward Cullen and/or Bella Swan). CNN spoke to Tamera Mowry about acting, twin sisterhood, married life and the realities of having a reality show.
CNN: Can you tell us a little bit about your Style Network show "Tia & Tamera"? Tamera Mowry: It's basically what the title says. It's us living our life as twin sisters but experiencing different transitional moments in life at the same time. I was getting married when my sister was deciding to have her first baby. And trying to be there 100 percent of the time was probably the hardest thing I’ve ever had to deal with. You're dealing with emotions on both sides - hormones and just stress - while you're going into territories that are new for the both of us. CNN: What's the reaction been like from fans who grew up watching you and Tia? TM: We've had mixed reviews. A lot of people have put us in this goody two shoes box, because we were child stars and we had this very wholesome show, but the thing is we're real people with real problems and we're sisters and sisters argue all the time, especially twins. But no matter how many times you see Tia and I argue - which we do a lot on this show - there is a love there. You also get to see that even though Tia and I are twins, we are two different people. CNN: What's the hardest thing about having your own reality show? TM: The hardest part of having a reality show would be just letting go and letting yourself be vulnerable for millions to see no matter what the response is going to be. We're used to people criticizing a character we play, but not who we are as people. So I'm definitely getting used to that. But there's been so much positivity. It's been 99.9 percent positive. The best part would be that our fans are able to see that we're women now. CNN: What sort of acting roles do you tend to gravitate toward? TM:I would love to do another comedy. Comedy has always kind of been my niche. I just love doing it. I love making people laugh. And I love a live audience. My last comedy was in 2009 and I did it for ABC Family. It was called "Roommates" and it was amazing and it was so much fun doing it. CNN: Are you enjoying being an aunt? TM: I feel so much love for my nephew like I've never had before and I can only imagine what it'll be like when I have my own child. Because Tia and I are twins, sometimes I feel like her child is my own son. He is so beautiful and so loving and we already have a special connection. He knows my voice. CNN: How's married life? TM: Married life is going great! I love it. My husband is a terrific support system and I'm so happy to have him by my side. Adam and I didn’t live together before we got married, so we do have our moments of "Oh, I didn’t know he did that," but we've kind of gotten over that. But you do have that in the beginning. CNN: What's it like being married to a reporter? Do you travel with your husband when he covers stories? TM: I love being married to a reporter - they're like sponges. Adam's intelligence is so sexy to me. I love watching him on TV and listening to him talk about things. And he's so brave. When people are evacuating because of a hurricane or a tsunami, Adam actually goes to the scene, and there's something very inspiring, encouraging and brave about that. I love it. CNN: What do you like to do during your free time? TM: Adam loves to travel. I obviously wouldn't go with him to Kuwait or Venezuela because it's too dangerous. But we've been to Paris, we've been to Ireland, we've been to Wales, we've been to Turkey, we've been to Greece, we've been to Croatia, we've been to so many places. We love that we can just go away and completely be ourselves and just be with each other without any distractions. Catch the season finale of "Tia & Tamera" tonight at 9 p.m. ET on Style. |

I love and admire these young ladies it is good to see a cild star grow into good people we all know that is not always the case.
I was too old to enjoy the show Sister, Sister, and found the twins annoying as hell. But now to watch them being themselves, I think they are wonderful and would love to have them as a sister or a friend!
I wish I was part of their Family at least their sister. I love their lifes its so fun and exciting
I am so happy for tamers and her baby aww he is sooooooo cute good luck tamera raising a kid is hard
I love tia and tamera I wish them good luck in their. Marriage life and I hope they leave for many years and many years of happiness.
It amazes me how ignorant some people are...my hat goes off to you ladies. You are doing great things. Just know when people are talking about you, you are obviously doing something right. Love the show! As for the negative people who have nothing else to do but talk negatively...you should try doing like my username that I came up with just to prove a point... be "happybeingyou" (There's also a song to go along with it..I recommend you buy it and put it on repeat!! That is all.
all i have to say it haters are gonna be haters..and if you don't have any then you not doing something right. These strong women have been doing great things and has not done anything to anybody, it is no need to be rude or cruel. We all have to grow up and they did, i don't know them personally but i am pretty sure they are sweet people and wouldn't want people to speak so harsh and poorly to and about them...
The 2 sister are so pretty and talented and I know they are going to be fantastic with whatever they deceide to do
would love to see more of there family (mother/father, siblings) next season..really love the show and think the have real life body images..they are beautiful young ladies..I also thk that it would be great to hear about there education as well..They are very smart women...Congrat to them both..More Blessings headed their way..
Very happy for you BEAUTIFUL YOUNG LADIES. I love the show and feel that w/ all the other reality crap that's aired you offer a positive inspirational alternative.
I love those Twins! I always watched them over the years, glad they are coming back!! Love you Tia and Tamera!!
Why is Tia trending when the article is about Tamera....
Tamera Mowry to trend aswell

Yeah! I'm so happy! From one twin to another, I love the show...Keep up the great work ladies. We love you!
Hi TIA and Tamera. I want to no is balh of y'all
Is going to be playing on the game oh Yeah TIA you veery nice I mean affer you had your baby it don't look like you beaver had a baby
Try it again, in English this time.
A lot of you are incredibly STUPID. Hopefully the stupid people are not Americans.
I like this series BUT am very curious why I still haven't seen Tia & Tamera's parents?? Not even at the delivery of their first grandchild in the hospital or their daughters baby shower or wedding... what's the deal with that?? I see them getting advice from all these friends & never a parent.
@ Jme: All the people featured on these reality shows have to sign contracts. They probably didn't want to be part of a reality show but they did show Tamera's wedding pictures during that episode and both her dad and Tahj were in them. Also, I saw pictures of Tia's baby shower and her mom was there.
yeah,i agree with you on this. I love these ladies to death but never seen their parents before. It will be nice to see the incredible parents who brought such beautiful, tilented women in the world.
Love them! They are both great & beautiful actresses!
FYI, the twin in the green dress is PREGNANT smh..that's why she is that size...and the other twin is not that big...get over yourselves...they are too busy and rich to read your comments anyway lol
I love the show tia and tamera and I am a 12 year old girl. I can't believe that is the3 season finaly and I am very sad because of it. Also I wish that they will do more seasons and episodes of tia and tamera. The weird thing is that sisters tamwra and tia act like me in so many ways and have the same style.I can relate to them. I love tia and tamera.
I think the TWINS are very beautiful and successful, and wish them much more success throughout life! And bye to all you HATERS....
Thanks for agreeing with me I think they are amazing and I still can catch some of their reruns on tv when they were just teenagers and they grew up to be amazing beautiful and talented young woman, have a great week
dj
seriously, i love their show on style. i'm not too into reality tv, but there is def something real and worth while to them.
Portal Potty. Now that you are 'firsty'...what is your next life-goal? Learning to tie your shoelace? You pathetic looser.
The 2 sisters are wonderful looking woman and are such good actresses and we all should wish them good luck
I USE TO WATCH SISTER SISTER IT WAS AWESOME TIL IT GOT CANCLED...I WAS YOUNG THOUGH UGH...Whats wrong with being thirty three my mother is thirty nine.IDK CARE IF YOUR THIRTY SOMETHING SMH
I thought they were dead. oops.
SMH/lol y would they be dead?
Way to go Tia and Tamara!! great role models...I am 33 now and watched you guys while we grew up together..I hope their will be re-runs of your show for many years to come.
lmao!!! good one
They were actually born in the 70's, apparently a brighter generation than yours.
@MoonDancer is gone,if that's true then why did you take her name?
I always hated that show. mostly for the annoying, whiny trick that played their mom. Almost as annoying as Fran Drescher. and Venus Flytrap was the dad!
She should come to Venezuela, she does not know what she's missing!
In my dreams i'm with them both, some nice twin action.
33 is NOT old! I hope these people are kidding with these ageist comments. They're not exactly ready for a nursing home- sheesh.
Yes, I hope they are kidding as well. Not a funny joke in my opinion. People who commented about their age and saying 33 cannot be hot are either kids or grown men who do not appreciate mature, successful, real women.
Congrats to you ladies!
@portalpunk: dude you're slipping! time to retire. seriously, hang it up, man. the firsty was old about the third time you did it. one-trick pony?
They don't look like they eased up on eating in all those in between years.
@EVEL - Please go jump the grand canyon... And fall way short.... You TROLL...
smf LOL, thanks for that.
They seem nice and all, but would we care about them if they were not twins?
Can you believe they were born back in the 80s? I bet they remember disco and 8 tracks.
They were actually born in the 80's, apparently a brighter generation than yours.
@Jess,
Um... They weren't born in the 80s they were born in the 70's try and do the math again. I am an 80s baby and I am still in my 20's They were born in 1978.
They were born in 1978. Not the 80s
You're just as stupid as the parents who bought you into this world. Idiot. They are 33! Born 1978. The oldest people who were born in the 80s are 31 this year!
The dumbest idiot on Earth! Disco is from the 1970s. I swear the next generation (People born in the 90s especially and the 2000s) are the dumbest people walking the Earth right now.
@SIN HATE actually i was born in the 90s and my sis the 00s so dont bring up being dumb only ignorant ppl say that and im not dumb since kindergarten ive been testing and a 12th grade level and im in talented and gifted classes all honors so back off of us 90s and 00s babies
My mom is 34. middle aged. she is still a good cook though. makes good homemade biskits and fried chicken. 34 year old ladies can still be useful and stuff.
Middle aged????? Thats YOUNG kid.....
I agree with you two. Thirty three year old ladies are too old to be hot. They could have sixteen year old daughters that are hot, but these gals are old. Old hussies.
Why do I get this creepy feeling you're really forty-seven and work in a pencil factory?
That is one of the things wrong in America today. Why can't you be older than 20 and still be hot. I think that the ladies are nice looking talented women. Ladies let's give ourselves more credit! As long as you're taking care of yourself and doing the best you can you are still hot. And no I'm not gay, just like to speak up for my gender.
Why are u hating on these very successful women?
Adam, if you are a young whippersnapper, I want you to say 33 is old when you get to that age. At thirty-three, you can be a mother and still be hot. I know some hot women at 60. I'm 45 and consider myself a hottie....as do younger men. These ladies are beautiful....and if ever given the chance to get with either of them, I'm sure you'd jump on it!!
I disagree I love the 2 sisters and really enjoyed the show when they were teenagers and think they will be fantastic in their new show
Ooops. I shouldnt have called them girls. They are 33 years old. GROSS. Old wimmen. GROSS.
Wow...Hog and Hoggette.
@ray ray- YAASAJ
Your mama older them now what?
I'd hit that.
First!
please send some apple juice, im FIRSTY!!!!!!!!!
Why do any of you losers think posters care about whether you would "hit that"or not? Stupid idiot; neither of them would even look at you.....
Chuck not only do I agree with you, but I haven't read a better and more real statement today.
