Rock star Courtney Love has landed a deal with HarperCollins to publish a “tell-all” memoir, reports New York Magazine.
Love, 47, wants to “set the record straight” with the as-yet-untitled tome. Due out next fall, the book will recount her unique life from childhood to the present day, including her marriage to the late Kurt Cobain.
The publisher announced the deal Thursday. A press release reads: “Although Love is often associated with deceased husband, music legend and front man of Nirvana, Kurt Cobain, she has had an incredible artistic career of her own crisscrossing into music, film, popular culture and fashion… True to form, Love will hold nothing back in the telling of her life story.”
HarperCollins also reveals that the book will address Love’s relationship with estranged daughter Frances Bean, as well as her liaisons with Billy Corgan and Ed Norton.
Courtney will work with Anthony Bozza, who co-wrote books with Tommy Lee, Slash and INXS. The book will be published under HarperCollins’ William Morrow imprint.
“It’s time for the public to hear her tell her story, as she lived it,” said Morrow Deputy Publisher Lynn Grad.
