Don't watch any of the shows, do not know any nominees save Betty White (REAL surprised she didn't win) so didn't bother with the show. The same is more or less for music now.

I am so stoked Kyle finally won a emmy for this great show, I'm sad to see the show end and I really hope somebody someplace see's his great talent and writes a wonderful show just for him. There were so many on that show that had such talent and I grew to love them all like a family, I think so many of us did, especially the young folks.Congratulations Kyle, job well done.

Julie Bowen of "Modern Family" benefits from phenomenal writing and being an insignificant, minor component of a phenomenal ensemble that more than makes ups for her lack of talent... And Julianna Margulies of "The Good Wife"... Well... that b!tch is just fierce.

What is with the infatuation with "Modern Family"? My wife and I have tried watching it numerous times and it's just NOT funny! But for some reason the critics just LOVE it and it gets award after award. We watch "The Middle" which comes on right before Modern Family I find it to be a much much better show and is truly quite funny! But yet, it gets totally overlooked and ignored by awards shows! Makes no sense what so ever!

Kyle Chandler? Really? He was great in Early Edition but Friday Night Lights flat out sucked. If the voting was based on artistic merit and performance rather than sentimentality because a show is going off the air Jon Hamm would have won the award.

That's probably why the Emmy Awards never gets nominated for any Emmy Awards. Well, that and, supposedly, it's "traditional" (there's nothing in the rules against it) for nobody to enter anything from the show – how would it look if the show won something?

More actors\actresses from Downton Abbey should have been nominated, especially Brendan Coyle, "Mr. Bates" is so complex, but his role is so understated it amazing that the depth comes through. M Smith is great but she is not in it that much it would be nice to see some of the other women be recognized.

Dowton Abbey will continue in January, thank goodness!! Maggie Smith is a world treasure and the rest of the cast is excellent. My oldest son had the good taste to begin watching PBS in the 1970s and the entire family also watched so we are thrilled with the new Masterpiece Theater entries. Class all the way!!

Downton Abbey was an excellent miniseries on Masterpiece Theater this summer. I hope they replay at some point. Maggie Smith is such an excellent actress. Never seen her in a bad role. She has been in Sister Acts 1 &2 and all the Harry Porters just to name a few movies off the top od my head. Why is it England can still write and produce movies, dramas, good comedies and it seems as though America has forgotten? Granted, England does have reality shows too but most of the Masterpiece Theater miniseries come from there. At least some one in this world still knows how to write & produce great movies at that! Congratulations Downton Abbey!!!

Steve Carell was robbed. He deserved the Emmy for all 7 seasons of "The Office". It was his last season and he should have been honored for the iconic character of Michael Scott. I like "Big Bang Theory" and think Jim Parsons is brilliant. But he can win next year, Carell can't. Shame on Emmy voters. *that's what she said*

It's always the usual susects that win. It's a popularity contest, nothing to do with quality. Breakout shows like Dexter, Breaking Bad, Rescue Me, Walking Dead and even Sons of Anarchy put all those "supposed" dramas to shame.

I hate to break it to you but Breaking Bad has won all kinds of Emmys over the last three years including three Best Actor tropies for Bryan Cranston and a Best Supporting Actor award for Aaron Paul. The only reason it wasn't nominated for anything this year was because AMC didn't start the new season until after the eligibility period for this years Emmys ended.

Friday Night Lights is an awesome show but, if you are truly a fan, you know that it is done. I wish that were not true but it is. It went the same way a Jericho, another good show that was taken off too soon. It seems that dramas like this are expensive to produce because they actually require good writing, acting and sets. So, we are more likely going to see more reality TV...blah!
