 Apparently things get a little gory for James Franco's character, pictured above, on "General Hospital'.

Franco back on daytime, drops Broadway gigJames Franco quit something? The man who does everything, from teaching to hosting major awards shows, has backed out of his Broadway debut the BBC reports. According to the publication, Franco was set to star opposite Nicole Kidman in the Tennessee Williams play "Sweet Bird of Youth." BBC said Franco's rep confirmed he would no longer appear in the play, however, there was no reason given as to why. Fans can still catch the actor in his return to the daytime drama "General Hospital." His character, a psychotic artist named (surprise!) Franco, is sure to bring some trouble to the fictitious city of Port Charles - if the on-set photo above is any indication. He first appeared on the soap in 2009 and reprised his role in February. Franco will make his latest appearance on September 20. Even bloody, we still love you Franco!

Because Franco can't act. He can only do "take after take after take after take", for TV or movies, like Julia Roberts can only do and she has admitted it. That's why she bombed on broadway. Franco's pitiful stint on the Oscars proved that. He blamed a bad script, a good actor would have turned it around and made it his own. A chance of a lifetime, broadway opening with real actor, talented Nicole Kidman in THAT play and Franco knows he can't do it, doesn't have the ability. At least he admits it instead of ruining the play like he ruined the Oscars. Maybe he should take some acting classes at all those colleges he goes to.
He is an actor, film director, producer, screenwriter, author, painter, performance artist and professor at New York University. Maybe he simply over committed and needed an easier day job like the soaps?

James Edward Franco is an actor, film director, producer, screenwriter, author, painter, performance artist and professor at New York University. That hardly qualifies him as a clown. The clown union will be knocking on your door shortly.
Franco is not a professor. He is a grad student who teaches a class. There is a huge difference.

Office Drone is on the money about Steve Burton. He's the only reason I still watch GH. And yay to Nick for calling out the hateful losers that have nothing better to do that post garbage.

Steve Burton (left) should be in more movies. He's a really talented guy and should be considered for some of these superhero movies.

I'm not "sick" of him but I'm not a fan. I have yet to figure out why he's such a hot topic. I find him boring. His personal life and achievements seem more interesting than his characters, though.
