Liam and Noel Gallagher are at it again. The famously feuding brothers and former Oasis bandmates are bickering over a 2009 show cancellation and the band’s subsequent break up, and it sounds like it's going all the way to the courts.
In 2009, Oasis pulled out of the V Festival. Last month, Noel spoke out about the cancellation, saying that his brother was too hungover to perform.
Liam maintains that he had laryngitis, and is appealing to the U.K. court system to force his brother to give an apology, according to U.K. paper The Guardian.
Liam gave a statement to The Sun: "I have taken legal action against Noel Gallagher for statements he made claiming Oasis pulled out of the 2009 V festival Chelmsford gig because I had a hangover.”
In addition to the hangover bit, Liam is also upset about his brother’s claim that “the demise of Oasis followed a massive row in which he claimed I demanded to advertise my clothing [line] Pretty Green in the Oasis tour program.
“The truth is there was no such discussion or row between us," Liam went on. "There are many reasons why Oasis split. But it had nothing to do with my clothing range.”
The rock star claims he "tried to resolve this amicably but have been left with no choice but legal action. All I want is an apology."
