Bravo to re-edit 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills'

The second season premiere date of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" is still up in the air, but producers are definitely re-editing the show in light of the recent tragedy, reports Variety.

Russell Armstrong, the husband of "Housewives" star Taylor, was found on Monday after he committed suicide.

The premiere was originally scheduled to air September 5, and although Bravo has said little this week other than to offer condolences to the Armstrong family, reports circulated that the premiere date would be pushed back by at least a week.

However, Bravo president Frances Berwick told Variety, "Contrary to what is being reported, we have not made a decision to change our original premiere date but we are in the process of re-editing the show."

He did not detail exactly how the show will be changed, but Variety speculates that the series may "reshape or eliminate [Russell] Armstrong's presence."

The trade paper cites unnamed sources who claim that the marital issues between Russell and wife Taylor were to be a focus this season. A press screener of the premiere features Armstrong and his wife Taylor discussing marital therapy.

Enough of the reality shows. Two tons repoing cars. Five tons repoing cars. Stretched leather going around as desperate housewives. Fighting in the court room. 1,000 ways to die. Clowns jumping in police bait cars. Survivors cutting each others throat and stabbing each other in the back. Living for the moment when someone says you're 'Fired' on national TV . A mother selling her daughters to the highest bidder. This is what you call entertainment? Please.

They should do away with all these reality shows. They are worthless and prove nothing except to waste air time. I saw a clip of a show about single girls and boys where the guys were throwing eggs at the girl they believe to be the ugliest on the show. How degrading and senseless. It was a total insult to the young lady being hit by the eggs. In fact, one a.r.s.e.hole dude threw the egg overhand and hard. You could see the girl flinch and cry out that it hurt. Why didn't they do this little deal with the boys being thrown at! These producers really suck if they believe this is what people like seeing when watching this really stupid and idiotic shows! I get the feeling these producers and people involved with these shows are nothing more than big time losers and they are trying to get even for what happened to them when they were young and were degraded by others. All of these reality shows play on degrading people. Make them cry and feel sorry for themselves. All for money. They are all fighting for exposure and money. It is very sad to see people stoop to such a low level. There must be a ton of low self-esteem people who develop these type programs. It's like they are trying to get even with the world for what they went through. I just wish people would take the zappers and change the channel when a show like this or the others come on. It wouldn't be too long before they would be gone, just like that one with the fake blonde with the fake t.i.t.s. and a.r.s.e. with the kids who she says are the love of her life. Her husband saw the light along time ago and split from her. She doesn't want to give up her 15 minutes of fame. Another worthless piece of trash that is using her kids to make money! Pitiful.

I clicked on this because I thought from the picture it was the 30 year cast reunion of Dynasty, but see it's one of those Housewives shows. Then to read the comments and see that people actually care about and defend these "people"... Wow!. Thanks for the learning experience. As a society, we are now around the 78 minute mark in the movie Idiocracy.

Bravo! Pandering to the lowest common denominator of society. Housewives give a whole new depth of meaning to the words trollop, doxy, chippy and tart. These shows are sleaze personified. How do the producers sleep at night? How many of them would want their kids or grandkids starring in this kind of trash? Sleaze, sleaze, sleaze. Ditto for the fans.

I believe their relationship was really forced between the each other. The reason is because during the first season Taylor had admitted it was HER who pursued Russell. It was at the dinner table in Vegas. Everyone was "shocked" that Russell didn't really want such a "beautiful woman". But Taylor was like she had to fight for his attention because he wasn't interested in her at all. He was probably really focused on making all of his money at the time. And somehow he got a wife and kid- and this wife was spending up the money he was making! If you wondered why Taylor felt alone and miserable, then you probably didn't catch that episode. Men usually are interested in a woman from the very beginning, and if he is not interested in her he just is NOT!

I'm not saying that Russell didn't love this woman or wasn't ever in love with her... But he probably definitely "grew" to love her, not "fall". And he probably married her because marriage was expected of him. An older man, established, and rich- where's the wife and kid?

So they were probably were never really compatable. Russell got a really bright and free spirit woman. He probably actually needed a woman who was less social, more modest in dress and behavior, who preferred staying at home and watching movies with him. Taylor needs a guy who is going to want to party.

They both probably actually settled for each other. As long as she got a rich man, and he got a beautiful woman.

I know nothing about the alleged abuse. And I hope his family is able to heal from his suicide and I also hope that he is shown some mercy from God.

Wait a minute...this network asks these people to spill their guts, fight with each other and spouses, rat on each other behind their backs all for the sake of ratings (ergo:money) and NOW that something huge happens, they feel responsible to do something about it? What hypocrisy!!! Where was this responsibility when they decided to create this sh-thole of a show?

Kim is looking surprisingly well (at least as compared to as she did at the reunion), and the rest are looking relatively good. I don't know why, I'm sure it's because of the way she still acts, but Camille will always have the golddigger stigma. On the contrary, I had already felt sorry for Taylor; now I really send my condolences to her and her children. That is just terrifying to go through. That said, I am excited to see what Kyle, Lisa and Adrienne come up with this season, those three I think are the core of the show and maybe should have even started it with a different peripheral cast. Kyle has her faults, but Adrienne and Lisa are far too gracious for the rest of them.

I think it is completely UNFAIR for anyone to blame Bravo for his suicide. Think about it, did Bravo make him treat his business partners so poorly they sued him for roughly $1.5 mil? Did they make him belittle and verbally abuse Taylor on the show? But most importantly, did Bravo make him a WIFE BEATER?! NO!! The only thing Bravo should get any blame for is not helping Taylor enough. They did nothing wrong to Russel. If anything, they gave him an opportunity on the 2nd season to redeem himself, but he couldn't. Russel was never FORCED to do season one, nor was he FORCED to do season 2 (the season his mom is claiming is to blame for his suicide).

My sincere condolences go to his family. It's truly heartbreaking and no matter what was going on (and only those involved know), he was still a father to three kids who now have to go through a loss at such young ages. That said, I am still trying to figure out how this is Bravo's fault? Russell was not portrayed well in the first season, so if he was that upset about it, why did he agree to season 2? He could have said no. I also find it humorous how so many people are upset about this "disgusting" show watched by "ignorant" people. Don't watch it if you are so offended by it! For those of us who do watch this series, it is a welcome hour of mindless tv after a long day of work...an escape from real life. If Bravo had any involvement in Russell's inner turmoil, it is that they offered a platform for which his secrets may get out, but ONLY because he signed up for it. Russell had deeper issues that were there before Bravo even came into the picture. RIP Russell, my condolences to the family.

Reality is out there a Global Economy on the brinks, dysfunctional government, evaporation of the middle class, their minds numbed and glued to Jersey Shore, or the “Pretentious Botox Wife’s of whatever”
I would love to see the expression on the faces of these when awaken from a self-induced reality nightmare comma where Snooki is the bogyman.

I hope they feel terrible for what they did to that poor man for ratings and money. I thought Bravo should be the station where "good" things are aired. This show is just awful. His wife should be ashamed of herself also. Karma, dear.

Bravo had nothing to do with Russell killing himself. The guy went on the show willingly. The guy had a history of abuse. The marriage wasn't great before they were even on the show. Get real, people.

wow, how can you blame the network for his death. All they did was film some of his life with his permission. that's just sick. And blaming his wife is pretty sick too. there have been no allegations of abuse by her so we have to assume that he had some major chemical imbalances in his brain that were obviously not addressed in time. It's never anyone else's fault that you take your life. it's tragic, but you can't go around blaming others, ESPECIALLY when you don't know these people.

I have watched the women behave like mean teens, all they do is put down the man who is making the money for which they live off of. Greedy witches they all are. Taylor was only in it for the fame, they are not actresses they are not talented they are only rich. They way they live is not reality, – reality TV would be going to normal average houses and showing how the families make ends meet, how the neighborhood gets along...that is reality...God rest your soul Russell, and may God bless your children (all of his children) and help them through this time.

Taylor and all of her spending and drama killed him. She's never had a job until this show and she just spent $, lip injected, spent $$, lip injected, spent $$$. Her daughter's birthday party was disgusting. THe only nice thing that happend was Russell giving his daughter a puppy. All Taylor could think about was herself.

@BravoTV Fan: The word is "it's" (the contraction of "it is") not "its." Maybe you should learn English before you point out the mistakes of others, moron. #correctionfail

@jonp. I guarantee you that my IQ is higher than yours and I love watching Bravo. It's not about intelligence, you moron. It's about being entertained by something. I prefer some reality TV over the crappy sitcoms with canned laughter. To me, that's more lame than reality, but that's just my opinion and i don't go around judging people for watching it.

be nice whether people enjoy watching these shows or not there has never been any doubt that it is crap I know quite a few brainiacs who get people magazine. We could all pick each other apart for something but do not understand the desire to do so...build UP!
Does your IQ matter if you are mean spirited and petty? I am sure you all have really high IQs but we could use them right now in our country. People will get sick of this kind of programing and it will cease in the meantime lets watch their meanness vicariously and be kind RIP Mr Armstrong

all of these housewives reality tv shows are so unbelievably shallow. i tried watching them in the beginning, but can't stand the stupid women on these shows. how pitiful...that all of these women have to stoop so low and do these shows i guess they have too much money and want so much attention that this is one way to get it....i think these women need help...they should be helping the less fortunate...maybe this is one way they could feel better about themselves.
