'SATC' prequel series may land at The CWThe prequel to Carrie Bradshaw's "Sex and the City" saga might come to life after all. Although for some of us "Gossip Girl" is already the soapier, high school version of "Sex and the City," Deadline reports that a TV series about Bradshaw's high school years may wind up on The CW. Candace Bushnell, author of "Sex and the City," also penned a prequel called "The Carrie Diaries" that depicts Bradshaw's senior year of high school in a small town in New England. "SATC's" network HBO owns the rights to the tale, and says in a statement that "discussions are underway...to find a home [for 'The Carrie Diaries'] as a potential television series."
Because HBO and The CW both fall under Time Warner (as does CNN), and since The CW's content falls in line with the young adult theme more so than HBO, a pitch for the series is expected to be made to the network. "Gossip Girl" creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are a clear option to help bring "The Carrie Diaries" to the small screen. Amy Harris, the former "Sex and the City" writer and producer who will also be working on "Gossip Girl's" storylines this season, would be an option to adapt the young adult novel to series. But, Deadline reports, that's all preliminary discussion and no deals have been made as of yet. "SATC" producer Darren Star wouldn't be involved, and director Michael Patrick King has already expressed his disinterest in doing a prequel series. "I'm not working on any 'Sex and the City' prequel at all," he said at the TCA summer press tour. "I haven't read Candace Bushnell's books...my Carrie Bradshaw started at 33 and I took her to 43 - I don't even want to know who Carrie Bradshaw's parents are. The idea of going backward, of making her less evolved, is something that I can't even imagine doing." Do you think it'd be a good move to do a "Carrie Diaries" TV show?

It is the real deal with these "friends". I come here like you do, I have slowly watched these people start talking to each other. I remember Mr. Crack and Mrs. Peace starting talking when Osama was killed. Little by little, other regular bloggers joined in their conversations. Yes, I'm sure its the real deal. It has been interesting to watch grow, soon there will be more talking with them. Maybe even you and I. Who knows ?

Don't be surprised. It's called group mentality. A lot of these guys are your usual commenters... whether they have lives you nor I would know that.
