Lady Gaga: The coffee table book

Little Monsters, start your Christmas lists now! Lady Gaga and infamous celebrity photographer Terry Richardson have collaborated on a coffee table book that promises “revelatory and exciting” photos, capturing Lady Gaga “as never before seen.”

That’s a tall order considering the star’s usually outrageous persona.

“Richardson brilliantly captures the intimate, random, behind-the-scenes moments of Lady Gaga in both her professional and personal life,” promises the book's press release.

“Lady Gaga” features over 350 color and black and white photographs taken of the pop star during a 10-month period. During that time, fashion photog Richardson “had complete access to her everyday life, with nothing being off limits.”

Their stint together began with Lollapalooza in August 2010 and went through the February 2011 Grammy Awards and the recording of “Born This Way” to the final shows of her Monster Ball tour.

Lady Gaga will write the foreword to the book, which is scheduled to be released on November 22, 2011.

Since I know you're the fake "Get a room" (poor spelling and improper sentences)... I hope YOU get hit by the truck. Bonus points if your family joins in.

Are straights allowed to have this book? Cause I wouldn't mind having that on my coffee table, sort of a conversation piece.

I'm what the young consider as a "old Kook" but I dig Gaga. You have to give credit where it is due. Look at your life versus her;s, she's reached her dreams, what about you. She's very successfull and good at what she does, what about you. Evedently, you find her interesting enough to comment or to be curious about. Are you as confident in what you do as she is in what she does. Given her profession, whether you like it or not, whether you want to agree, disagree, you must admit, she is very very good at what she does, or you. If people who live in glass houses are stupid enough to throw stones they deserve the consequences. At least this young woman is out in the open and not hiding behind print such as yourself. You too can be a rock star, or can you,???????????????

Madonna did that over twenty years ago. It was a book of nudes of Madonna. The library check out list for that book was over a year wait. She released that book right before Christmas and a lot of people received it as gifts. Awesome marketing and she made huge money. Gaga does copy her, always has.

Lady Gaga has finally done something entertaining. Coffee table books are supposed to be mildly amusing for a short period of time. Looking at Gaga in various poses of weirdness could amuse me for five minutes or less. A good project for Gaga.

I will defend Lady Gaga and say that she does not copy Madonna. She copies Madonna and slew of other artists as well such as Grace Jones, Alice Cooper, Annie Lennox, David Bowie, etc.

I love Gaga – love the woman. Seeing behind the scene pictures of her sounds cool – I will definitely want to see the book. Gaga's relationship with her fans is deep and wide, and this is just another way she has chosen to share herself with the universe of little monsters. For the folks who don't care for Gaga – that's fine – there's no need for anger or hatred towards those of us who found her to be an amazing and inspirational artist. Personally, I find Gaga to be an inspirational and unique person – her music sounds great on my i-Pod, but her concerts are what makes her different from anyone else. She "preaches" self-worth and self-acceptance and love, and what could be better than that? Put your paws up, little Monsters, because we were born this way, baby! Peace to All -and Viva Gaga – love, a 41 year old suburban mom.

Gaga is here to stay... The haters say her "15 mins of fame are up"???? Really. I've always loved Madonna and her music. Gaga takes music to another level. Paws UP!

As a 58 year old I find her a great artist. Sadly her antics take away from her artistic credibility – but it's her life and career – not mine.

Yeah. You're such an artist, Lady Gaga. Everyone thinks you're really deep and interesting. Because, as we all know, what gets to the top of the charts is ALWAYS the best, most timeless music, not just untalented, uninspired garbage that will be forgotten about 10 years from now because the only thing interesting about it is how "individualistic" its singer claims to be.

I love her nose, and her Italian good looks. She has loads of creative talent and she has a point of view that is her own. She champions being an individual, no matter how unusual you are, which for many young women especially is a good point of view to uphold. Too many young women today are trying too hard to fit in. Lady Gaga is saying "be yourself" above all. Break the mold! Do not conform! Go Gaga!

This girl hasn't had a single original idea. She a Madonna clone. Madonna did it all 20 years ago. It's just laughable.

Since when is it not ok to express an opinion? doesnt mean im right or wrong and you arent right or wrong either. unless there was an election @ some point where we are all required to think the same and like the same things. im just not her intendem audience like youre not Katy Perrys audience. night all!

Just because Madonna did it, doesn't mean no one else can't. Given that logic, maybe I shouldn't pursue my dream of becoming an architect because, well, that would just be taking a page right out of Frank Lloyd Wright's book.

I find all of these baseless accusations toward Gaga to be arrogant and narrow-minded. She's a slightly over-the-top popstar, but that doesn't mean she's untalented and unoriginal. You're just telling yourselves that to discredit her any way possible.

Seriously? Gee. She is taking another page out of Madonna's book (pun intended). Next up she will star in a musical and then start to have an accent. At this rate we will only have to endure her a couple of more years before she copies Madonna all the way through directing.

"Sellout with me oh ya, sellout with me tonight" Why is it that all media outlets focus on these no tallent sellout artists? Why don't the people of the free world realize that people like gaga are only "cool" because we are all told how cool he/she is and she is.

Very weak argument. In a concious frame of mind, we all feel we can make our own decisions and pursue our own interests. Subconciously, however, we all fall victim to a greater system. There is no use in acting like your opinion of Gaga is objective. Her fans have simply shared a connection with her that you have not (and that's OK). I don't know why people find it so hard to just be accepting.

And personally, I believe if "sellout" is the only way you can describe Gaga, then that's all you will ever be able to see in her.

See? Madonna wannabe! She looks like a bad hallucination to a Beatles song! Imagine a "book" of that! And before yall start screaming jealous- what is there to be jealous of? You do have to admit that she has a genius publicist!

Says the Katy Perry fan. Take a look at your own idol before you scream 'wannabe' at others. It's really quite laughable.

Yeah, Madonna can't sing well live and never has. She pulls out a guitar on stage and she barely knows how to play it. Lady Gaga sounds flawless live and she plays a mean freaking piano. She makes Madonna look like a b**ch. Katy Perry sounds crappy live, BTW.
