Demi Lovato discusses meltdown: 'It wasn't a guy'After striking one of her dancers in the face last fall, Disney star Demi Lovato left the Jonas Brothers tour to deal with “personal issues.” The 18 year-old talks to Elle about the violent incident that led to her stay at a treatment facility. "When you punch someone on a plane, enough is enough," Demi says in the magazine’s September issue. "I was completely out of line all summer… Just the worst attitude — totally ungrateful." She also shoots down rumors that her issues were due to her breakup with Joe Jonas: "I wouldn't credit my meltdown to a guy,” the starlet says. “There was so much other stuff in my life."
The singer also discusses the infamous “cutting” photos, 2008 shots from Miley Cyrus’s Sweet Sixteen red carpet in which you can see red marks on Lovato’s wrists. “I don’t think I would have been ready to talk about [my problems] then, but I could’ve come up with something better than gummy bracelets,” she says of her PR’s spin on the pics, that the indents were from bracelets. Luckily, Lovato was eventually treated for a depression and an eating disorder, which led to a diagnosis of bipolar disorder. Despite her troubles, the teen phenom is bouncing back, with new single "Skyscraper" topping the charts and a third album due out this September. "I'm going to mess up, and I'm not going to be perfect," she told AOL Music of her recovery. "But as long as I try every day to get better and better myself, then I'm one step ahead of where I was before."

I guess telling the same story over and over again is some sort of therapy for her. I always thought that's what we had psychologist and psychiatrist for.
She's 18, where are her parents in all of this? Glad she's getting it together.
cutters only show scars when they want pity attention.... she most likely gave herself deep scratches for shock as a way to ease into the 'she has problems' spotlight. cant disney girls do better for their fifteen?

shes beautiful and her being honest about these normal everyday problems makes me root for her as a person and not just a celebrity..

I think she is kinda neat and not overly unattractive.
i love her ... didnt really know who she was prior to this but this story alone makes me cheer for her. people go through this all the time and its inspiring to see her over coming her battles.
