'Bachelorette' couple now shying away from TV

With the wedding-themed reality shows and the TV specials of celeb ceremonies, it would make perfect sense if "Bachelorette" couple Ashley Hebert and her fiance J.P. Rosenbaum wanted to tie the knot in front of friends, family and the viewers at home.

After all, that's how their courtship played out.

But according to USA Today, now that they've found each other, they want the TV cameras to fade to black.

Parton apologizes for Dollywood T-shirt incident

After a woman was asked to turn a T-shirt reading "Marriage is so gay" inside out while attempting to visit Dollywood's Splash Country in early July, Dolly Parton has issued a personal apology for the incident.

The woman, who according to the Atlantic was attending the park along with her wife and the children of a friend, was asked by the host at Dollywood's Splash Country to turn her shirt inside out at the park's entrance.

According to Dollywood's Splash Country press rep Pete Owens, the park has "a pretty strict dress code," and the host of the park is charged with deciding whether or not a guest's clothing is appropriate. In this case, the request to turn the "Marriage is so gay" T-shirt inside out was made "in the spirit of the dress code," Owens said.

Greyson Chance takes Ellen DeGeneres' advice

Within the past year, 13-year-old Greyson Chance has gone from being an unknown talent to landing a record deal, heading on tour and having his debut album, "Hold on 'Til the Night," land among the top 10 sellers on iTunes upon its release on August 2.

But while his lifestyle has changed, Chance - whose rendition of Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" not only made him a viral sensation but also led to a record deal with Ellen DeGeneres' eleveneleven - is focused on staying the same kid he's always been.

"I remember the first time I met Ellen [DeGeneres], she told me never to change myself," Chance told Marquee on Tuesday. "And I really haven’t. I’ve evolved as an artist and a teenager, but I really haven’t changed myself."

Matt Damon's not to be messed with

As Anderson Cooper pointed out on the Ridiculist Tuesday night, it's not the wisest idea to mess with Matt Damon.

The 40-year-old actor, whose mother is an educator, headed to Washington over the weekend to rally against the use of standardized testing as an indicator of how well teachers, students and schools are performing, and he's spoken out about a few other topics along the way.

He not only challenged a reporter who questioned a teacher's incentive to put in work on the job, but he also went after a cameraman who proposed that 10 percent of teachers are bad...and that perhaps 10 percent of people in any profession should rethink their careers.

'House' adds two new cast members

After the departure of Lisa Edelstein (and the fact that in-demand Olivia Wilde is once again a part-time cast member this season), "House" is adding two new female cast members to the series for its eighth season. (Spoilers for the new season below!)

After House rammed his car into Cuddy's home, and fled the continental U.S., the new season finds him in prison, where he will reportedly meet a doctor played by Odette Annable, according to Deadline.

Annable is best known for starring in last season's shortlived Fox series "Breaking In" (though reports continue to surface that the show could still return if new Fox series don't take off this season). Annable confirmed the casting on Twitter, saying, "Having the best time so far, so stay tuned!"
