'Bachelorette' couple now shying away from TV

With the wedding-themed reality shows and the TV specials of celeb ceremonies, it would make perfect sense if "Bachelorette" couple Ashley Hebert and her fiance J.P. Rosenbaum wanted to tie the knot in front of friends, family and the viewers at home.

After all, that's how their courtship played out.

But according to USA Today, now that they've found each other, they want the TV cameras to fade to black.

"We talk about it in jest sometimes, but no real thought has gone into it," Rosenbaum, 34, said of the idea of a TV wedding. But it sounds like his fiancee has stronger views.

"I don't think you'll be seeing us on TV unless you TIVO'd those episodes," Hebert, 27, said.

And even if they were to invite cameras to witness their matrimony, it sounds like the ceremony is still a ways off.

"We haven't given any serious thought to [a wedding]," Rosenbaum said. "We're not going to wait five years to get married, but we're going to take it one step at a time."

For her part, Hebert seems fine with that.

"We built this great foundation. We've been engaged for two months, but I feel like we've been together for years," she said. "We have a fairytale...but like the world saw, there's ups and downs. It's not perfect, but it's great. It's a real relationship. It's not like we're in la-la land."
