'Bachelorette' couple now shying away from TVWith the wedding-themed reality shows and the TV specials of celeb ceremonies, it would make perfect sense if "Bachelorette" couple Ashley Hebert and her fiance J.P. Rosenbaum wanted to tie the knot in front of friends, family and the viewers at home. After all, that's how their courtship played out. But according to USA Today, now that they've found each other, they want the TV cameras to fade to black.
"We talk about it in jest sometimes, but no real thought has gone into it," Rosenbaum, 34, said of the idea of a TV wedding. But it sounds like his fiancee has stronger views. "I don't think you'll be seeing us on TV unless you TIVO'd those episodes," Hebert, 27, said. And even if they were to invite cameras to witness their matrimony, it sounds like the ceremony is still a ways off. "We haven't given any serious thought to [a wedding]," Rosenbaum said. "We're not going to wait five years to get married, but we're going to take it one step at a time." For her part, Hebert seems fine with that. "We built this great foundation. We've been engaged for two months, but I feel like we've been together for years," she said. "We have a fairytale...but like the world saw, there's ups and downs. It's not perfect, but it's great. It's a real relationship. It's not like we're in la-la land."

Ashley came across as an immature cry baby. J.P. seems like a grown man who might be able to partner her into some mental adulthood. They look good together. I just think it's nervy to expect privacy when you met on a reality show. Give me a break!

First off, I love this show. This season was drama filled, which is what keeps the viewers watching. Ashley as a bachelerotte was very emotional and made rash decisions based on little information. I hope they are more selective when picking the next bachelor or bachelorette. On the finale I was heartbroken for Ben, but she has a special spark with JP and I really hope they can make it work. Honestly they will have a better chance if they stay away from TV and being in the public eye too much.
i think out of all the couples coming out of this show these 2 will make it to the alter and after because she reminds me of the first bachelorette – Trista (squeaky voice and all) – who is still with Ryan and now they have a couple of kids.
Yeah, okay. Now remember you said that Ashley when we see you again in a couple of seasons!

its totally ridiculous to think these people know each other enough to make a lasting commitment. what they do find is lust and thats how Ashley chose J.P. I enjoy watching the show but i never take it seriously. You can always tell by the editing who the winner is ... they made it look like she was going to choose Ben so you can be sure it will be the opposite.
I'm glad for her and JP. Its funny that people found Ashley annoying, the worse Bachelorette etc, etc yet her detracters still watched the show and complain when no one is forcing them to. What a pathetic bunch!
In other words: "we've realized that neither of us are anything like the persona we put on for the television cameras. And-because she doesn't want to remove the gigantic rock from her finger–we're going to pretend to be engaged for a little while longer, before we break up over 'creative differences'."
Do you realize that 'Survivor' and 'The Biggest Loser' have each resulted in more marriages than the 'Bachelor' & 'Bachlorette' COMBINED???
TLW...good point...I didn't realize that..but you're right! Funny how shows not meant to bring romance do...and then shows that are meant to bring lasting love seldom do.
