Harry Belafonte disappointed with ObamaHarry Belafonte, at 84 years old, is still making headlines. On Thursday, CNN talked with the actor/humanitarian/activist at the Television Critics Association Tour in Beverly Hills. He was there to promote his upcoming HBO documentary “Sing Your Song," which chronicles his longstanding career and work alongside many notable civil rights activists. But what caught our attention during the interview were his outspoken words on President Obama and the current budget impasse. A star-studded Marine Corps BallScarlett Johansson is the latest star to get an invite to the Marine Corps Ball, according to People.com. Unfortunately for Sgt. Dustin L. Williams, ScarJo already has plans for November 10. "In my absence, I raise a glass to you and all the men and women of the U.S. Marine Corps, past and present, in thanks for your continued commitment to preserving the safety of our nation,” the actress, 26, writes in a statement to Zap2it. And graciously, Johansson is sending the soldier a case of Moët and Chandon to ease the sting of rejection. |
