Wahlberg: I'll pay for an 'Entourage' movie

Could it happen "Entourage" fans?

The show's producer, Mark Wahlberg, said at the Television Critics Association press tour that he is willing to ante up for a film based on the hit HBO series.

"I said if I had to finance it myself, I'd do it," Wahlberg said.

Wahlberg appeared with the show's cast and creator Doug Ellin as they discussed the series final season after eight years. Star Adrian Grenier said "We're all choked up."

"Truthfully, we've been together for eight years, creating something we're very proud of," Grenier said.

Ellin assured fans that while Vince and the gang will be gone from the small screen, they'll be coming to a theater near you soon.

"We're going to do a movie, it's a question of when and how quickly," Ellin said.

Walhberg stepping up and paying for a movie to get made is East Coast BALLSY... no matter what he does... I'd check it out.

What happened to Sopranos movies in theaters? Wasn't that lame ending – fade to black- supposed to be continued on the big screen? And none of those actors are doing anything special, including that dumb Nurse Jackie that Carmella is doing. Imperioli is stuck doing 1800 liquor commercials for god sakes. -Art

The BEST way to end the show would be with a fatal overdose for Vince. It'd be perfect, poetic in it's own way, and shocking in comparison to most stories. The movie could be about the others attending his funeral then. Maybe Sasha Grey could mount in him the casket for one last goodbye then.

Pu-lease! Last season was total garbage and completely contrived to eek out more garbage. The story has been told, it peaked, it dropped and now it's a caricature of itself. Please retain what little artistic integrity you have left and leave the stage for another project. 'nuff said.

i'm a die hard entourage fan but i got an idea, how about you pay for some good writers cause the last couple seasons have been absolute garbage, nothing like the first two. also, while you're at it, next time you produce a show how about not waiting a year in between every single season so you can actually keep a fan base ?

You bring up great points. The only thing I would add is how about 45-60 minute episodes.
