Mariah Carey returns with wacky HSN appearanceOh Mariah Carey, there are no words to express how much we have missed your zany. The songbird has rebounded from the birth of her twins to make her first appearance hawking her wares on HSN. Carey has a thriving business on the shopping channel selling everything from earrings to fragrances, and she's been tweeting all about her return to the small screen.
The singer hopped on air for two hours at midnight Monday, and perhaps it was the lateness of the hour, but Carey was in rare form indeed. The good folks over at Gawker have been kind enough to gather up a few of the singer's most awesome moments, which included several references to birthing twins ("Literally I was like 47 weeks pregnant") as well as her directing the camera people to stop shooting her ("Take the camera off me please, I know you guys hear me.") Our personal favorites? Carey's faux-British accent, which is very reminiscent of the Countess LuAnn de Lesseps from the "Real Housewives of New York" ("Hello dahhling"), and her invention of a new word based on camouflage. (Carey explained that while pregnant she "needed a camouflagian moment.") The Diva is back! Check out some of Carey's best moments here.

Was flipping through channels the other night, saw her on tv and couldn't change the channel... kind of like rubbernecking at a highway accident... I kept waiting for her to talk about something other than herself and her pregnancy... and the hair adjustments were off the charts... She is so very special = A great singer, and you cannot argue with that!
I still love her music. Don't want her perfume, jewelry or to hear her interviewed. Seems alot of talented songwriters are a bit loopy.

I have twins as well and my uterus measured as if I were 47 weeks with one baby (per my doctor). It's called the height of the fundus. Mariah meant well but didn't verbalize it well... Twin Power!!

I was watching this and thought it was weird too! Her CD was playing in the background, almost at a distracting volume. She was rambling on about personal things, not related to her actual product. Even the host was looking like he wanted to tell her to shut up. It was almost like a woman who's been kept in the house all day and as soon as hubby gets home she rambles on and on and on about ehr day; starving for adult convo. Don't get me wrong i love me some M, but that was weird.

Give her a break, I can't even imagine how she's feeling or doing, I mean I don't even know how much she has been sleeping and that takes a tow on the brain trust me! Have you heard of new mommy brain? I know it very well, it has been 10 months since I had my baby girl and along with the joy of having her, came the weirdest last 10 months of my life, I have been extremely tired, really out of it most of the time and the worst retention ever, I can't even tell you how many times I have lost my keys and not found my purse, so many things...motherhood is hard, she has twins so I have lots of respect for her.
Oh, Sabby...take off your blinders! Having twins in this diva's house has no comparison to having a new baby in yours! She has a bevy of helpers and if she's anywhere near being a 'hands-on" mother, no one would be more surprised than me. Rich, spoiled, pampered women do not treat motherhood as we do.

I have twins. I want you to know that going months with very little sleep afects you. You now have a new normal. It really does take 2 years to get to a real normal. She is doing great.

I agree that having one new baby, much less twins, changes your "normal" life in ways that can't even be comprehended. BUT...if you think MC is up all night feeding & changing babies without the benefit of nannies, nurses & a myriad of other staff, please think again. You probably had to do much of the baby tending yourself, but I highly doubt she is on mommy duty 24/7 like other "mere mortals." I happened to be flipping channels & landed on HSN while she was on and I was really embarrassed for her. I actually thought she was spaced out on something! I hope Nick Cannon has his daddy act more together than how she appears!
