'Showbiz Tonight' flashpoint: Oprah hires herself

Oprah Winfrey is taking a dramatic step to help her struggling Oprah Winfrey Network (aka OWN). She’s making herself CEO and Chief Creative Officer of the channel!

Oprah expressed her excitement in a statement by saying, "I am ready to dedicate my full creative energy and focus as the full time CEO of OWN … by aligning the mission, talent and leadership.”

I think this is a great move. I mean, it’s Oprah! I don’t know why she wasn’t the CEO to begin with. After all, it is “The Oprah Winfrey Network.”

It’s still going to be an uphill battle for Oprah, but she’s got some big shows in the pipeline - like a brand-new talk show hosted by Rosie O’Donnell, and “In the Bedroom with Laura Berman.”

Oprah becoming CEO of OWN is great news for a woman whose vision has led to wonderful things for her viewers. Way to go Oprah!

Happy and prosperous Year 2012. Happy Valentine too! Opray , our love for you is plenty particularity among the females in Nigeria. We share your love for women particularly young girls and in particular young girls at the 'academy in South Africa. Can you support our entrepreneurship program for female youths in the rural areas, Ogoniland, Rivers State, Nigeria. The Ogonis, mostly do not allow their first daughter to marry but can give birth while living with their parents. There are lots of social and economic havoc associated with this traditional...... So a program like ours builds young girls as the pace setter in the business communities; not just about business but leadership, creativity and innovation!! I have a lot to say to you if given an opportunity to do a presentation of our work to you personally in the USA.
