Gwyneth Paltrow: Canned cheese? I'd rather smoke crackHide the canned cheese from Gwyneth Paltrow, or things could get ugly. The 38-year-old actress/foodie turned up at the iTunes festival in London on Tuesday to talk cooking and good eats, and after avoiding questions from interviewer Jonathan Ross about husband Chris Martin, she explained that she doesn’t let her kids go anywhere near McDonald’s. “I take them to Pizza Express because I think that’s much healthier,” she told Ross, according to the Daily Mirror. “Don’t tell them there are toys!”
Paltrow, who recently penned a cookbook, “My Father’s Daughter,” added that while she can “eat any man under the table,” there’s one thing she will not be eating: canned cheese. “I’d rather smoke crack,” she told Ross. She doesn't, however, have such a strong aversion to vino. “I drink constantly while I’m cooking,” she says. “Wine of either color.”

Thanks for the publish. My partner and i have usually seen that a lot of people are desperate to lose weight simply because they wish to appear slim along with attractive. On the other hand, they do not usually realize that there are other benefits for losing weight as well. Doctors assert that obese people are afflicted by a variety of conditions that can be directly attributed to their own excess weight. The great thing is that people who definitely are overweight and also suffering from diverse diseases can help to eliminate the severity of their particular illnesses by way of losing weight. It's possible to see a continuous but noticeable improvement in health while even a slight amount of losing weight is reached.
the problem with her statement is saying she would rather smoke crack than eat canned cheese...really? we all know she is joking, but not a very good joke. she is a mom so she needs to watch what she is saying around her kids. she is a celebrity so she has a microphone and whatever she says people unfortunately have to hear it. i could stand in my backyard and scream, "I would rather smoke crack than eat canned cheese" but who is really going to hear me? a few neighbors, plus who the hell cares about what I have to say?? To say something like that is really stupid and just shows how rediculous some of these celebs can get. from what I have read, she is also one of those celebs that does a "cleanse". A cleanse? for real? that is why you have kidneys. that is their job. No reason to go on a "liquid" potion to get "toxins" out of your body. they have too much money and too much time on their hands to think of this nonsense. do not equate an illegal substance that is highly addictive that has ruined many people's lives to canned cheese. duh

@texan trooer, that is actually pretty interesting. Though 4-5x per week seems excessive. I wonder if it's possible to sustain health beyond aesthetics if you consume fast food that often? What about effects to your body that you can't see? In regards to Gwenyth Paltrow's comments on canned cheese and McDonald's, I think everything is ok in moderation. If you live an otherwise healthy lifestyle & eat healthily, having junk once in a while won't kill ya. I don't see why her comments make her a snob. I think that people who don't care for her would use anything as an excuse to criticize her.

To the people that think canned cheese is cheaper. Sick and retarded they must be. Spend a buck or two more and actually get something decent and local. The cheese I buy is about 60 miles or less and taste amazing it is like 5 bucks a block. I am a struggling student but I make sure my dairy is top quality and try to utilize the farmer's markets. It is not pretentious to care about what you put in the body. However she does come across that way...For her being all healthy she don't look that healthy.
I agree that canned anything is pretty nasty but when you are smoking some really good ganja some nasty things suddenly taste good. For some reason I can picture her doing coke lines but she will trash crack,. I also think wine is nasty and parasite like but like the hydro top quality Cannabis and hash.
I am sure she does not even raise her kids much like a normal parent. Basically these stars pay nannies to do all the work and they just make the rules and get all the credit while they have intercorse with other stars and their wives and husbands and give interviews to articals like these!

Ok look I'm 22 years old from east tx i have a beer while im grilling steaks or brats im not supporting drinking im just putting this out there for people to think about im not a wino to be considered a wino you have to be taken to either a detox center a few times or the hospital to have your stomach pumped multiple times, also the rations that the armed forces eat usually eat on patrol contain tubes of squeeze cheese and quite a few of my squad mates swore by a big mac for lunch are you calling us obese because if you are think about this ive been out of the military for a month or two now and im still in great shape. I eat fast food about four or five times a week, all it takes is about 50 or 60 situps and pushups and a 1 mile run and during the summer a i swim about a mile twice a day to stay in shape. If you cant find time in your facebook infused life to get out and at least walk around the block a time or two then you really dont need to be commenting about other peoples choices.
I just think it's funny an actress can say something about canned cheese and everyone lights their armpit hair on fire & flaps around. seriously. it's hillarious.

There is honestly nothing wrong with anything Ms. Paltrow said in this article. I don't let my son eat E-Z-Cheez or McDonalds, either; and I also see nothing wrong with enjoying some wine while cooking. In fact, turning on some good music and having a glass of wine is probably one of the most enjoyable ways to cook. That being said, I don't think I'd ever choose crack over bad food, either. But whether or not I agree with her food choices, I don't see where insulting her, her children's names, her husband's teeth, any of their lifestyles, etc. are remotely relevant. Also, for those of you complaining that this is an article, you have the option of simply not reading it. The reality is, however, that as much as celebrity news is usually fluff, it is fluff that *sells* and CNN, while a news agency, is still a business and has to cater to as large an audience as possible in order to support itself.

My almost 3yo daughter her never tasted McDs. Nor has she had canned cheese. And that makes me a snob? If so, I'll embrace it. Of course she'd rather smoke crack than eat canned cheese. Crack helps the metabolism. Canned cheese not so much. And I'll believe she eats a lot of food just as much as I believe she's a "regular" working mom. I can't imagine her scrubbing toilets, doing laundry, scrubbing the walls, etc. Not that I blame her - if I were rich I wouldn't do it either. But I also wouldn't pretend to be a supermom who "does it all".
I don't clean toilets or do laundry and I'm a working mom. I won't call myself "regular" working mom because if most of these commenters are "regular" parents I want to be the opposite. I would not eat cheese from a can. It's not even cheese if you read the label there's not enough diary in it to be classified as cheese it's cheese food. I won't let my kids eat processed food, fast food or food that comes ready made in a box. I come home from work and prepare my family a nutritious meal. Why? Because I care about what my kids eat. I want them to eat food not chemicals. There's nothing snobby about that.

Some people need to work on their reading comprehension. I didn't say I eat canned cheese. That stuff is disgusting and not even real food. I don't eat McDonald's either. I'm a vegetarian, so McD's isn't even a temptation. I criticized her for pretending that she eats a LOT of food when she couldn't possibly do that and maintain her lithe figure. She also pretends to be a "regular" working mom - that means a mom who doesn't have maids, nannies, personal trainers, etc. I also CLEARLY stated that I didn't blame her for NOT doing housework as I would skip it in heartbeat if I could afford someone else to do it. If you can afford it, more power to you. I blamed her for pretending that she manages to pull off being a supermom without a LOT of help. And the "you're fat and ugly" comments to me are so juvenile. I also have never taken my kids to McDonalds and they are not scarred. They are fine with it. In fact, when we drive by a McDonalds my little boy always says "that food is unhealthy". He also comments when he see's smokers that "they are wrecking their lungs". Kudos to Gwenneth for attempting to teach her kids healthy eating habits.
