Barbara Walters to sit down with Jose BaezCasey Anthony's lawyer Jose Baez is opening up, and the first person he’s turning to is Barbara Walters. The veteran journalist is interviewing Baez in the lawyer’s first network interview since the verdict was handed down in Anthony’s case. In an hour-long “Nightline” special called “Casey Anthony Not Guilty: Inside the Bombshell Verdict,” Walters will pepper Baez about his strategy in the courtroom, Anthony’s demeanor and why he thinks she was found not guilty of murder, among other topics.
Portions from the interview will air on ABC’s “World News with Diane Sawyer” tonight at 6:30 p.m. ET/PT, and the “Nightline” special will begin at 10 p.m. ET. More from Walters’ interview with Baez will air tomorrow, July 7, on “Good Morning America” and “The View.”

If Barbara Walters interviews Mr. Baez, I wil stop watching The View. I'm outraged that a supposedly "serious" journalist like Ms. Walters would stoop so low.
Barbara, I cannot tell you how disappointed so many of us are that you are going to interview jose. It is not the interview, it is the Pay they will be getting. This is Blood Money made on a childs death who will never see justice. Parents put the Hell, an Attorney who could not back up his words. If you were to read the facebook pages re: Justice for Caylee, Boycott Casey, and Jose Baez. you will see it is not just here but over seas as well. The only reason Casey got off is because the Jury was incompetent. There is NO WAY that in 11.5 hours they were able ot read, and go over everything like they should. But they were in a hurry to get home....... Many of us were hoping your standards would be much higher than this.

Neither I or any of my family members will support any media outlet that attaches itself to this overtly unjust verdict and shows that they care more for fantasy ratings than about justice for an innocent little girl's life being so horribly taken from her. We the members of the concerned public will not forget this in one day, one month, or one year. We will not subsidize anything or anyone who dares to support Casey Anthony's actions. We will INDEFINITELY boycott any media outlet, their programs, and their sponsors, who offer Casey Anthony money for pictures or for her to tell her story. We have heard enough 'stories' from that woman.
This is insanity. This was a case about the death of a two year old little girl who didnt get the respect or justice (however u believed she passed) that she deserved!! The lawyers, and especially Casey should go away and stop profiting, profiling, and exploiting the death of that poor child. What does it say about a media that continues to feed this monster? I for one will not watch a second of this interview and especially any interview where Casey anthony is paid a penny.

I ask that you DO NOT offer Casey Anthony any sort of money or gifts for “her side of the story” I feel that Casey Anthony should not profit from her daughter’s death. I along with so many others feel this would be glamorizing Casey Anthony and the death of her daughter.
Instead, we should all put efforts towards Caylee’s Law. Cheney Mason calls this a “knee jerk effect”. If it saves a child’s life I don’t care what it is called! There are so many children who are injured or killed by those who are put on the earth to protect them, their parents.
Our society is outraged that the jury found Casey Anthony not guilty. It is what it is, no one can be tried for double jeopardy, so let’s do what we can and not let her profit from her daughter’s death. I for one will not buy or watch anything ever again that has to do with Casey Anthony, her family, or defense team. I believe in that statement I represent a lot of other people’s response to industries who feature Casey Anthony.

Did anyone else hear what Jose Baez said to Barbara Walters? Caylee wouldn't have wanted her mother to be prosecuted for this murder. He said MURDER not ACCIDENT............. NOONE caught it and questioned him as to why he said the word Murder. That tells it all.

Barbar Walters I am now no longer a fan, it disgusts me that you would even interview Jose Biez, interview someone really important someone who wants justice for such a digusting murder of Caylee, someone like Jeff Ashton. To interview Jose is like interviewing Casey to me which I hope you are smarter than to do that! BOYCOTT THE SHOW! BOYCOTT THE SPONSORS! Anything to do with Baez, any of the lawyers (except Jeff Ashton), the Anthony Family should be boycotted. Money made by any of them will go in part to Casey. We need a good boycott movement to not allow any money to be made by the death of this baby. Shame on Barbara Walters.
Just as by law it isn't a criminal offense to report your child missing for an entire month, by law the jury had to do what they had to do. There wasn't enough evidence to put this person away for life, nothing could be done by law. Unfortunately for Anthony outside the court room there is also common sense and instinct, most people she will live among have it and they speak loud and clear. She is guilty and there is no doubt in my mind, and there will be justice. She has to live with the mark of Cain, louder than a tattoo on her forehead. People will never forget.
For all of you who don't think this is a matter of boycott I can't make you change your mind. But do remember and burn this in your head, you are contributing for people to profit from the death of an innocent child.
I will never again watch your show for giving this baby killer or her lawyer air time. I plan to write your sponsors and the sponsors of any show out there who dares gives these people money for anything, interviews etc. I hope everyone else outraged with this verdict does the same.

I love Barbara always have and I will watch any news on Casey Anthony. I totally agree with the verdict that the jury handed down. This trial has improved my feelings on the Justice System.
Isn't it sad that the juror HAD to know HOW she was killed to convict her!? It's not enough that Caylee is deceased, hair was found IN the trunk of CASEYs CAR, testimony of the smell by ones who know the odor associated with death – but they DID NOT convict her because they did not know HOW she was killed! I believe in most cases we Never Know EXACTLY what happens and we have convicted others – Did jurors Honestly think Casey was going to say "OK, I put her to sleep, then taped her nose and mouth so she would not wake up, then I put her in my trunk and a few days/weeks later I dropped her out near a swamp. My mom and dad loved us both alot, he did not molest me, but I had to say something to get you off track." Jurors – I don't know how you sleep at night!
That is an assumption we are all making. Even the famous Dr. G testified she could not give a cause of death. I understand what the juror is saying. Baez, like it or not, did his job and whether you agree with it or not 12 people on the jury came together and followed the LAW to reach a verdict. I respect them for that. They didn't say she was innocent – they said not guilty. There is a big difference.
The trial and the verdict makes me sick, I don't need to relive it through a movie, book, or interview. I hope Casey and Baez are shunned for the rest of their miserable lives. I want Casey to be sneered at and ignored to the point where she commits suicide. Only then will justice be served when Satan greets her at the gates of hell. Die you piece of filth.
Unfortunatley Jose Baez did his job and we can not hold this against him. He was a good attorney. He even had me questioning things during his closing arguments and I've watched the case from day 1. It seemed pretty obvious that Casey murdered Caylee however without the physical evidence nothing can be proven. And, I for one still wonder what involvement her family had in the murder of Caylee? No one can say the family was your normal, average family, they lied and cheated the system just like Casey did. I think the judging from this point on has to be left in the hands of God, the people have judged and the case is near a close, at least in the killing aspect, she will be judged again one day and that is not up to us.

Put that rat on Howard Stern and let him answer REAL questions, like "How, in good conscience, can you stand there and defend a murderer who's car smelled like death, researched chloroform and shovels, had the same heart stickers in her house that were found on the duct tape stuck to the skull, and didn't report her daughter missing UNTIL she was confronted by her parents, and lie through the whole investigation?"

Calling Jose Baez a "Mexican" in a racist way was unnecessary...I agree with you about not watching this show or making stars out of unethical attorney in famous trial, but racist comments are not necessary! Jose Baez is from Puerto Rico not Mexico...there is a difference. I am Boycotting this show for all the same reasons most people are, but I am disgusted by boycotting comments that include that kind of hate/racist implications!
Just watched the interview with Mr. Jose Baez. barbara is soo cool she really knows how to be inqusitve? i like how she prys a person to reveal more to the story< way to go Walters, I defaently will watch more this is like a soap opera, i hope they come out with a movie. Wow I'm elated that justice for one human being was served, Jose baez was tops, this coming form a person who had only a few years of law practice, man and now hes famous for proving the prosecution wrong, Only in america folks only in america. yes anyone even if you strat with nothing can become a professional, Casey had a mom and dad and could have finished high school and gone on to collegeg like baez did but she choose the easy way of life people life is not easy its called hard work and in baezs case it paid off very well my hats off to you sir. Baez said Casey was a good mother. Walters questioned how that could be so when she did not report Casey missing for 31 days. Baez seemed to struggle with the answer.
Casey's defense was the baby was never missing, but dead by drowning. Why did Baez struggle then? And why did Walters even ask the question then. The truth is the baby was dead with duct tape over her mouth and nose and the bridge of her nose for those entire 31 days.
Secondly, in the 13 minute phone call to her family Casey made from jail on day 32 of the child's murder, Casey states that she is one giving information to the police about Caylee. How can she say that, unless she means she is the only real source because she is the only one who knows the whole story?
Jose had no choice but to defend Casey. So dont be ridiculing him too much. Of course you can ridicule Casey all you want but not Baez.
Anything we really want to know about, he will say he can't discuss due to attorney/client privilege. Anything he DOES say that she told him, can't be believed anyway, because in his own words "Casey is a very effective liar" - (he must be so proud). As far as Casey – it's a matter of time before she goes to jail again for something else - not everyone is willing to let them steal from them, as were her parents - or at least her mother, and she will get prosecuted. And then wait and see what the girls in prison have in store for her. If she goes to Mexico (as has been rumored might be her destination – pull some crap down there and see if the police listen to her nonsense. She was found not guilty in court, but not in the court of public opinion - we don't all have to be bound by just the part of the story that the jury got to hear.
The jury made the right choice, they're not stupid. Anyone complaining is just a blood hungry whiner, people, please, there are so many murder cases going on every single day, you think they can always get everything right? Most likely not, unfortunately, and therefore, it IS better to have 10 guilty set free than possibly take a life of one who's not guilty. A lot of you "bitter ones" pretend it's all about "getting justice", while it's dead obvious you just have a deep need to punish someone. It was her child, she lost her, she has to live with it, and yes I believe she loved that child. And even though it doesn't appear that way always, I do believe this will weight on her forever. I believe this was an accident, and there's a good chance she's responsible for man slaughter, however I see this verdict has a bigger "meaning" and message/purpose than a "punishment" would. And it is a powerful "lesson" to the "blood hungry ones". Innocent, till proven guilty. It is unbelievable how people are coming down on Jose Baez, they are saying Casey should have not had a defense attorney and should have gone to the hanging tree without a fair trial, and the trial was fair if it was anything at all. They have no idea how Caylee died yet are willing to participate in murdering Case just to satisfy their own blood thirst. How can anyone be so ignorant to believe the prosecution put forth one single piece of evidence that was proof beyond a reasonable doubt. You know is that state attorney had not seen himself as some smartass he just might have got a guilty on at least one of the top three charges. Or if LDB had done the whole state, she could have. To everyone who disagrees with the verdict, remember this: maybe she did kill that little girl, maybe the girl did drown, maybe the neighbor dog killed her, maybe she fell off her bike and hit her head and died. Here's the problem: there was no PROOF of murder. As simple as it might sound, that is CASE CLOSED. I have been saying for weeks that she would be acquitted due to no proof of murder – how could this surprise anyone? Yes, cadaver dogs alerted in the backyard and the trunk. Yes people smelled a dead human. Yes Casey acted free as a bird in the month after. What if Casey is manic depressive, that could explain her bizarre behavior. If anyone was in Casey's shoes (guilty or not), we would all expect the acquittal because how can you be judged guilty of murder beyond a reasonable doubt when based upon the evidence, when the evidence itself does not prove the girl was murdered? Caylee, God bless you little girl, and may you sing with the angels. And may you haunt your mother if she did kill you.

I dont understand you people. Jose Baez had a job to do and he did it. Thank God there is people like him out there. The courts make the prosecution prove there case, so that innocent people dont end up in prison. I have no problem with Jose and I wish him the best. On the other hand I wish Kasie Anthony would have got the death penalty because thats what she deserved.

I have believed that there was an accident from the beginning. Some shows in the media made her guilty before being proved. I believe in our justice system & thank the good Lord for living in America! We are all innocent until PROVEN guilty & I think we all need to remember this. Maybe the covering of the accident was wrong, but lets think about who's idea this really was. I think George knew n his heart that if Cindy found out about her getting out & drowning that she would never forgive George or Casey & would blame herself also for leaving ladder down. He knew she would divorce him over this. He loves Cindy so much, that he thought it would be better if it looked like a murder. Casey acting the way she did who are we to judge? I've lost a child & to not have to deal with the pain i partied! I learned from losing my daughter that no 2 people act the same when losing the most precious gift God gives us. My sister also lost a daughter & did some things that people gossiped about, but again it was her pain to deal with no one else. Stop judging & be thankful that we live in the United States of America where you are innocent until proven guilty. The prosecution though doing a good job just as Baez did, did not prove their case simply because they had one person they looked at due to her demeanor. If they would of asked themselves why she was acting they way she was instead of assuming, they may have investigated differently & found that another person was involved & that it was an accident covered up to look like a murder. Read the letter at the very end he simply says Casey-- he knew she would know what that meant he needed to write no words to her. Everyone stop judging & accept what the jurors found NOT GUILTY. With all of the goings on about the case, verdict, demeanor of court players, etc, I think it is important that we don't forget that the fact remains that there is still an innocent young life that was destroyed and discarded as garbage/trash. The most valuable piece of media coverage would be the answer to the questions we've had from the beginning. What happened to Caylee, why she was discarded as trash, and who did that?

I wil not watch this interview. I congratulate Jose on his win but do not agree on the verdict. We all know Casey and maybe someone else in the family had something to do with Caylee's death. Jose knows this too. She may not have been guility of first degree murder but she should never have been acquited on all charges. The lying to law enforcement will be time served. This is another OJ and we can only hope it catches up to her as it did OJ.

Actually, the canons of legal ethics require that an attorney defend his client vigorously. He didn't break any laws. He didn't violate any rules. He simply pointed out very obvious weaknesses in a case. Good lawyering.
The legal system isn't about guilt or innocence. It's about proof. The prosecution proved Casey was a horrible mom and a terrible person. Didn't prove she was a murderer, though.

I feel justice was not served yesterday, but regardless of my feelings, I feel it is wrong that anyone involved in this horribe\le tragedy, including the defense team who supported this horrible person, should not profit, or receive ANY money for any interview, article, book, movie, and/or anything else they chose to do. This is more than shameful to profit from the horrible death of Caylee Marie Anthony....especially Mr. Baez or Casey Anthony! We have started a Facebook group, Ban Casey Anthony, just for this purpose. There are a lot of angry people because of this verdict, and I am aware that 12 people found her innocent, but there are a lot more than 12 who know in their hearts she is guilty,,,,people who have nothing to hide do not lie, and they do not hide unless they have someone or something to hide from....Please consider this and all of the justified feelings in this case.
