'Showbiz Tonight' Flashpoint: J.Lo might leave 'Idol'Jennifer Lopez became a favorite on this season of “American Idol” as she won over the audiences with her compassion and nurturing judging of the contestants. Many people said that J.Lo’s role on “Idol” revitalized her music career and her likeability. But now Jennifer is saying that she might not return to “American Idol” next season because she has so many other commitments and movie roles coming up. So would this move be brilliant or bananas? I think the idea of Jennifer Lopez not returning to “Idol” is just bananas. I say work out your schedule Jennifer, because the show was great for you and you were great for the show! Another thing we’re debating as brilliant or bananas – Khloe Kardashian just posted an X-ray of sister Kim’s butt, which Kim says proves her assets are “all natural.” Kim’s rear end has been talked about a lot. Has she had any implants? I get that Kim might be doing this for her TV show “Keeping up with the Kardashians,” but I really hope that she gets to a point where she doesn’t feel like she needs to prove anything to anyone. I think I’ll have to call this a tie saying this is a bit brilliant and a bit bananas. What do you think about Kim’s butt x-ray? Let me know below. One more… Justin Bieber has just launched his new perfume for girls called “Someday.” Is this brilliant or bananas? I think it’s brilliant because Bieber could slap his name on a cup of coffee and it would sell, so at least this product is appealing to his demographic! Also, this Saturday marks the two-year anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death. Kim K. will never reach a place where she doesn't have to pander to the audience! The product she sells is herself, she can't sing, dance, act & play a sport, all she has is herself, her "corpus". Her butt has been the talk of Hollywood for years, but both her sisters have healthy rear regions too, so why all the focus on Kim? Anyway, so now we know! This will change life as we know it!! Lol!
It would be a bad biz move for JLo to leave now, that is what it is, showbiz! This show has put her on the map again, helped to sell her new CD, & changed peoples perception that she's stuck up. If she leaves now all that positiveness will be gone, cuz it will reinforce what people used to think! AI will be fine regardless, but they too, have to think about what sells & JLo fit the bill. I have more respect for Aretha, Gladys, Tina & Stevie as far as experience & longevity, but will they bring in & connect with the audience? I think JLo will be back & this is just the promotional hype machine in action!!
Jennifer was great on idol! She should not leave-this show gave her the exposure she deserves.

I actually enjoyed Jen on AI this season. Hope she comes back. Not much of a singer and like someone else said before me, neither was Paula. But she is a great, compassionate judge. If she has to go, bring on Gladys Knight.
Jennifer Lopez is the reason I watched AI more consistently this past season..So many critiques about Jennifer not being a great singer, but neither was Paula Abdul, Both of these women are great performers and they both made us love watching AI. The chemistry that Jennifer has with both Randy and Steven seemed very genuine, it was good to watch. People will always hate on Jennifer because she is Latina and successful! The woman is beautiful, charming, and real!! She doesn't forget where she comes from. She went from humble beginnings to stardom! I am proud of her. Hopefully she works on her schedule and remains on American Idol because she is wonderful to look at. GO JENNIFER!!!

Ms. Lopez did a lot for AI and vice versa. She's not a great singer herself but she does have musical savvy and gave good advice with a velvet glove to the contestants. I might not watch it if she doesn't come back.
No, i am not kidding. The talent and longevity are there. If not john, then how about tina turner? Stevie nicks? There are plenty of female artists out there who have the knowledge to truly judge talent because of their continued success in the music business. Multiple decades of entertaining generations of music lovers. Inspiring others to try their hand at something they love. That should be the basis for choosing a judge. Not because they are considered pretty, or cool, or witty, or catty. Not because they can use buzzwords or throw out clipworthy one liners. Let true talent judge new talent.

I was embarrassed for her when she did her debut of "on the floor" on Idol. She was awkward and appeared out of breath like the workout was too much. Wierd body too, ass thighs and knees are big, top small. its smoke ands mirrors with Jen she has a mediocore latino voice at best. She will not last. HOMILY SKINNY HUSBAND, YUCK.
In every season, there's a diva from season 1 thru 8, it's Paula. Season 9 has no diva judge + worst ratings. Season 10 has a true diva which redeem Idol. Face it, Idol always needs a diva judge in order for ratings to rise up.
Aretha franklin would be nice I just hope she lives long enough she has had a lot of medical issues lately
Make aretha franklin a judge. Now there is a woman who has had a long successful career in music. She would be well qualified for the job. Forget about injecting youth in everything. Focus on experience.

really? perhaps for the first few weeks until something happened to her and she either became a producer's puppet or catty or something. Praises every off-tune performances as beyond comment and cries a billion tears when everyone leaves, well other than for far and away the best contestant of the season, couldn't even give her a standing O during the final three when even Randy somehow managed to rise.
I lost all respect for her 100% after her season on Idol. Gone.
