Christina Aguilera: Neither of us were 'angels'Christina Aguilera addresses the rumors about whether she and/or her now ex-husband strayed during the marriage – sort of. “At one time or another, we were both not angels," the singer told W. " It got to a point where my life at home was reminding me of my own childhood. I will not have my son grow up in a tension-filled home...” "The Voice" coach has a spread in the new issue of W where she she says she has never watched an entire episode of the show's major competitor "American Idol" because "it's too mean." "Why would anyone want to go on a show to be ripped apart," Aguilera said. "I don’t want to be tough with my singers, but I do want to tell them on 'The Voice' that if you really want this, you’ll be kicked when you’re down." The hit NBC show has proved to be lucrative for the singer/actress. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Aguilera is paid more than $250,000 per episode to appear on "The Voice." Perhaps such a hefty payday helps the star encourage her team of singers to aspire to win. Aguilera said competing on the show takes dedication. "You have to be willing to roll with those punches," she said. "You have to really want it.”

I live in utah (it sucks) and i love the voice not for christina but i think blake shelton is awesome. utah is far worse than most states because mormons are in control of everything and they shun anything diff.... cant wait to move to cali!!
Im 20 so it has nothing to do with being old because i strongly believe the media should be WAY more cencered. its sad when you can watch almost any movie, show, or look at any magazine without seeing a half naked or more woman. i may just be old school but what happened to the good ol days when people had respect for themselves, others, and our children. its very concerning to think of the kind of things that will be out there when my son grows up.
If I was in utah I wouldn't watch this show either. Not because of some moral highground but because this show sucks the big one.
For the mormon comment- I was raised mormon (although I am not practicing anymore) and there is nothing in The Voice that would be considered inappropriate by the church beyond random flirty comments.
This is probably one of the best new shows out there. The people are actually very talented and the format really gives them a chance to learn from their mentors. Not that what she makes is really any of our business...but if Christina can make that much per episode...good for her. If I had a chance to do the same thing, I would.
No wonder she's so mean to the 'boys' when she's making that much more than them!

Christina doesn't engage. Try all she may, she just isn't really into people. She should hang it up on this bore of a show, find a new producer and get to making "qaulity" music – and I don't mean more depressing ballad crap. She also needs to ditch the 1930-40's hairstyle and makeup and get back to the natural, pastelish look. She looks cheap and cold, and that is not a good thing when you're cold towards people to begin with.
I'm not hating. I'm telling the truth and I used to be a huge fan of her "quality" music.
The show is absolutely boring. I can't believe it's still on and don't expect it to last much longer. It will be yanked! Lackluster.

Somehow these comments are taking on a life of their own. Unless I misunderstood the article, it was about how much Christina makes per episode. Cora LDS, if they don't show the Voice in Utah, then how do you know it's trash? It's much better then American Idol. The contestants on The Voice are chosen for how they sing and not how they look. That would be why the judges have their backs turned toward the contestants. Some of the contestants have incredible voices. The judges are all singers who want to help the contestants further their careers. What is so wrong about that? If you don't like Christina that's fine but why you're bringing Mitt Romney into this is beyond me. Is it the fact that he's a Mormon that is running for president. People's religions shape their beliefs/morals and they in turn elect people with the same or similair beliefs/morals. FYI, the only reason the more than 1 wife situation was started in the first place was because back in the 1800's or earlier, many of the men were killed for their beliefs, again ignorance abounded even in those days, and since there were no jobs back then for women to support themselves or their families, the surviving men married more than one in order to give support and help raise their children without having any out of wedlock, etc and so forth. Now, today, it isn't practiced anymore with the exception of those few who still believe in continuing that particular practice of the faith for whatever reason and they are excommunicated from the church. I would suggest that you learn your FACTS before making such ignorant remarks and making yourself look like an idiot.

Utah does not "suck." This show is not "trash." Whatever happened to acknowledging art as humanity's expression? This show IS in Utah, and while some things on this show may not be appropriate for children, to mock someone else's beliefs or preferences is NOT Christian.
