J.Lo's 'on the fence' about returning to 'Idol'Jennifer Lopez had the chance to show her softer side as a judge on “American Idol's” 10th season – which also saw a ratings boost – but Lopez tells BBC Radio 1's Scott Mills that she’s still unsure if she'll return. “I haven’t been forced to make a decision and I’m glad about that because honestly I’m very on the fence about it,” she says. Last fall, Lopez signed on to fill a vacant seat at "Idol's" judges' table for just one year, a deal that was reportedly for $12 million. The mom of twins explains that she’s just got a hectic schedule - on top of the album she just released, she's also signed on to voice a character in "Ice Age 4" and is working on a reality series with husband Marc Anthony called "Q'Viva! The Chosen." Lopez says she had "an amazing time" doing "Idol," adding, that she "loved it but I have a lot of other things happening, and it's going to come down to me making a choice of what I really want to do for the next year." The 41-year-old singer/actress/entrepreneur has teamed up with "Idol" creator Simon Fuller for "Q'Viva," a show that will take her on a 21 country quest to find the best performers of Latin music, artistry and dance, starting in July. “We're not really at the breaking point of 'You have to make a decision right now! So I'm not," Lopez says of her "Idol" decision. "I'm just really enjoying the time of just waiting and seeing.” Check out the full interview below:

Can you see why a good manager is also a good lawyer? JLo signed on with "AI" with the conditions that you see right now coming into fruition. "AI" was NEVER a vehicle for the judges' self-promotion (Paula did it because she KNEW she was leaving), and this season was discussing (btw...anyone drop by Randy's bake sale?). What JLo did NOT expect was the way she was being skewered and roasted over the spit of pulblic opinion. This season of "AI" was a mess, and unless Simon (Fuller) and Nigel (L) decide to go back to original purpose of the program: it's to be showcase of those who are to be MENTORED, GUIDED, INSPIRED by the judges. Bring back the vocal coaches (no more INSTANT recording; consistently work on the pitch problesm -they don't go away in one night). No more 'star' mentors -too distracting (Lady Gaga provided the best advice in putting the "performance" into the song).

Brief history...she was a back up dancer and was lucky because of someone's death "Selena" a tex-mex musician who won a few grammys in her music background...it if wasnt because of her missfurtune adn the fact that her father Abraham Quintanilla wanted to make a movie about her upbringing...this woman so called "Jenny from the block would have never ever made it to where she is today." She might be pretty and dress beautiful but at the end of the day she doesn't do anything for society, can't sing, can't act (all her movies have sucked), she is ghetto when she talks but pretends to have class a damm ho who slep around to get what she wanted and on top of that she thinks she deserves respect, money, fame and recognition...

Jennifer lopez is not the kind of woman that takes herself to seruiously.She has the right mind set and smarts for the business she is in. Her performances amd music reflect her personality, for her it is about being in a career she loves,and not about materalistic rewards,she does ejoy what she has eanrned but does so with class.She knws the business, she worked her way from rags to riches. I think she is perfect for idol,she makes more sense than Ellen or any other judge as a replacement for Paula in my opinion. To those leaving nasty comments well it is believed hatred is more a reflection of low self esteem. Good luck to JLO.

People I enjoy the show and want to thank the idol team for giving the opportunity. I would like to remind us that the world is in such a mess and this country needs to focus on it. What will you do with all your money when there is no air or water? When is a common person going to have a chance to run for any political position? When are we going to stop buying all our products from other countries and get jobs back here. Please consider an american president idol show where the peoples votes seem to count.

She is past her prime vying for a market driven by teenagers. She's still attractive but that's not nearly enough for idol. Everyone watched for Tyler, not JLo. She could easily be replaced. Tyler is a legend of rock.

Jennifer brought compassion, intelligence and beauty to American Idol this year! I sincerely hope that her schedule will permit her to stay on for another season! She is one of the reasons I watch the show – I have been watching since Season 2 and this was by far the best American Idol season yet! Mainly because of Jennifer!

Jennifer lopez can't sing. Why she was ever on idol is beyond me. If anything she used them for publicity for her cd. Jennifer is actually a decent actress and dancer and should stick with that. Does anyone else think her husband looks sick? Too bad for those twins though because they look like him.

She is a terrible singer and had no place judging people when her own career was tanking. Her new album sucks from the reviews I read so let her move on. She was lucky the picked her but I could not stand to watch the show because of her this year.

American idol is about as interesting as watching golf or cars rust. Right up there with baseball. All guaranteed to cure insomnia.

I was torn with season 10. For the first time, I really felt the whole season was rigged from the beginning. There was also a time where I though Ford and Coke bought the show over. J lo was a treat to watch but continually said the same thing. If she doesn't return, get Mariah Carey. I will definately not watch season 11 if it appears rigged again.

Half of American Idol this last season was promoting JLO and her music and videos. Shameless. Personally, I think she could leave Idol. Idol is getting so extremely commercial and promotional that I watch less. Even the contestants were too experienced from the beginning.
I hope she comes back next season. Everyone that has left and will probably leave rude & nasty comments about her are just jealous and downright hateful. If you don't like her that's your problem, you don't have to read articles about her or leave comments. Just keep it to yourself & take your potty mouths elsewhere.Haters can take a hike.

Besides, she didn't do that well judging and put through (along with the other 2) at least 5 lames who had no business there on the show. J Lo made American Idol better than it has been in all 10 yrs of being on the air. Now we know both Steven/Randy will be back In January for the new season. It just wouldnt be the same w/out her! I really hope all her contracts/commitments dont stop her from coming back. American Idol finally was just starting to get good now that blowhard Simon is gone. I hope she doesn't come back. She's too good for that corny ass show anyway. Like somebody already said – maybe with the right $ she might do it. Simon's new show and The Voice will put Idol to shame. Ten years is long enough anyway.

She is one of these people that annoys me. She wears fur...bad; she tries to control people to get what she wants. She has an irritating nagging voice and speech that shows her lack of education and consideration. She only relates to people who share her roots and I think she has no talent herself. Without the dancers and the background music around her, she is flat and quickly getting too old for her style. Tasteless is a good description to fit her.
