Gene Simmons' partner storms off 'Behar' set"The Joy Behar Show" turned into a couples therapy session gone awry when Gene Simmons’ longtime partner walked off the set in the middle of taping. It seems the tension between the KISS star and Shannon Tweed that has played out on their reality show “Gene Simmons Family Jewels” is, in fact, reality. After 28 years with Simmons, Tweed says she’s in a new phase of her life and done with Simmons’ philandering ways. And if his claim of sleeping with 5,000 women is true, well...

Gene has always been Gene, what he was, he still is, and nothing will ever change him! Why should he change after all these years, if Shannon wasn't happy she should have left years ago! She waited 'til the kids were all grown and set in their lives, very motherly! So now she feels she can get a lot of money and start a new life, just leave Gene with no one, nice Shannon! I see this everyday, a woman unhappy cause their breadwinner is gone all the time making a living for his family and the woman feels alone cause he's not there!! Lawyers, Doctors, all sorts of professionals are gone a lot! The wives instead of getting a job, a career of their own, or raising a family, try to depend on a man whose working his ass off ,to also include keeping her happy and secure! Shannon, it looks like you took it as long as you had too and now that you got what you wanted for your children, it's time to split! If you don't love Gene, please go, let him realize the life and woman he thought he had was just a user.....you got what you wanted now you can just walk out on a man who treasures you! Who obviously thought you both had an understanding but it really turns out you just used him......time to move on!! I used to think of you as one in a million, now you don't even rate!! If this is all some sort of joke for the show, well it's a sick joke! I believe you will leave Gene, and it will be the worse thing you've ever done. You've almost gone too far already or maybe you already have. Once you've hurt him enough it won't be much fun anymore.....wake up Shannon before you loose it all!!

when I saw this clip about Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweet. I was shocked how you kept pressureing him about comments that Alice Cooper made. to other aspects of his life with Shannon. Did you let up? NO! you were like pouring gas onto the fire. Then you tried to worm out of what damage you've done. I think that you was solely responceable for Shannon walking off the set. Gene, Even ask why you set him up like that. then you was Ms. innocent. But, Admitted that you didn't know that the issues with Gene & Shannon were true. Right lady!!!!

Ladies, listen – if your man brags about all of the women he has slept with and you still hook up with him, what happens after is no one's fault but your own. For the love of all things holy, have some self respect and stop screwing around with dogs. He isn't going to change just because you want him to. I have no sympathy for this woman. I mean, I have no respect for Gene either. He's a complete and total pig and women everywhere should avoid him at all costs. Will they? No. If Shannon walks out, there will be someone new before long and that makes me sadder than anything else about this story – well that and their poor kids.

I think that Gene is probably just lying about the number of woman he has slept with, because is in his mind that is what a rock star is, and what one does. He wants everyone to always look at him as a 'rock god' and he feels that is he marries Shannon or admits the real number of woman he has been with, no one will take him serious anymore, and therefore Gene Simmons the brand would cease to exsist. I personally very sincely doubt he has been with that many women, especially since he has been committed to Shannon for many years now, where I am sure he wasn't perfect, but Shannon would never accept him frequently leaving the relationship for some meaningless fling. I'm sure after all these years with him and being faithful to him, all she wants in return is the same. Which is absolutely her right, good for you honey! You will watch the show...buy the items that advertise on that show and then comment about it. Right there they just bought at least 2 hours of your time. This is abot making money and entertainment. Yep, I think this is for real. If you watch the show their kids seem well adjusted and genuinely nice. Shannon is the one that's been there for them day in and day out, and made sure they knew their Dad and he knew them. I can totally see why Shannon is going through this. No, Shannon is not kidding and she is not doing this for publicity for the show. Gene had to really talk her into doing the show in the first place. She's done some crazy things in her life, but she seems to take her family and home life very serious. Something had to have happened that was the straw that broke the camels back or he is just not taking it seriously that she is ready to have a different life now. We shall see.......

Simmons exemplifies everything that went wrong with popular music in the 70's. Tweed exemplifies America's obsession with weird cosmetically-enhanced middle-aged women. They have a lot in common: they both are immensely untalented and egotistical, so they are perfect for each other.

Shannon has apparently lost her mind. She KNEW what kind of man Gene was when she got seriously involved with him. She also KNEW that his lifestyle choices are what allowed HER to live the lifestyle she's become accustomed to. Why, after 28 years, is it now a matter of HE needs to change his lifestyle to accomodate her??? Just because she has "empty nest syndrome" doesn't mean she now has the right to dictate how HE lives. I can describe in one word why Shannon Tweed has put up with all of Gene Simmons nonsense all these years. MONEY. It's kind of a minor tragedy because Shannon is beautiful and could have done so much better. I'm a KISS fan and collector since 1976 but how stupid would I have to be to not recognize what Gene really is. Simmons has an ego the size of Mount Rushmore. The reason this amuses me is because Ace Frehley is the COOLEST member of KISS. Always has been and always will be.

the show is fun entertainment, until I saw the show last night, my heart goes out to Shannon and the kids, why would he choose fame and fortune over Shannon and the kids, His Momma needs to kick his butt and wake him up he's about to loose something very precious.
Women who go for guys like this get what they deserve: you want the money, the lifestyle and the demi-fame that goes with being a trophy wife or partner then suck up the infidelity and egomaniacal bragging.
I heard Shannon say on a show that she never would have been with Gene if he didn't have all his money. Should we feel sorry for her? They both got what they wanted.
Gene has a bad case of foot-n-mouth disease along with the need to figure out fidelity is. If he truly cares for her, he'll figure out a way to win her back (marriage if she'll even bother with that notion now) or he'll have to figure out a post-Shannon life. It's sad and bizarre that such a no talent loser like Gene and his terrible band can become rich and successful. Shows how stupid Americans really are.
I am a longtime fan of Gene Simmons, Kiss and Shannon Tweed. So I am staying impartial here because they both have valid arguments. My wife and I watched "Family Jewels" last night and discussed the different philosophies of men and women concerning the marriage paradigm. For those of you who think a rock star lifestyle is acceptable that's fine for you. For those who believe that traditional relationships are acceptable, by today's norm, that's fine for you too. But you cannot have both...it's impossible. Gene and Shannon have lived the rock star lifestyle for almost 28 years and now the game is changing. The empty nest syndrome has reared it's ugly head and the impact is monumental. To make their relationship work, they both need to communicate their likes and dislikes. They need to decide whether forging ahead and creating new challenges is the way to go, or slow down and reap the benefits of a lifetime's accomplishments. Gene is right, Money is very important in any relationship. Without it, a brand new set of challenges present themselves and the problems it causes can be devastating. Shannon is right too, in that, Love and Respect is also very important, because without these components money doesn't mean a thing. I wish them both well and hope they seek counseling because 28 years together needs to mean something. Otherwise what's the point of a life and relationships. The best advise that I can muster is: Love like it is the last time you will ever see each other. Kiss each long, deep and slow every day, no excuses! Hold hands when walking together, whether it be in a park or the mall and take the time to value the other persons feelings. If all of these things occur, there isn't anything in this world that a relationship cannot overcome. I wish them both happiness and peace for the rest of their lives.

Shannon is gold-digger. She can barely move her mouth because of all the plastic surgeries she's had. She was beautiful before she had all these surgeries. She knows what Gene Simmons is about and has been and is willing to put up with it to maintain her lavish llifestyle.
Can't everyone see that they're playing/hyping this thing up to get everyone to watch the new season. And I'll make one prediction that has probably already been discussed with all involved in putting this show together, that in the end, at the end of the season that is, that Gene and Shannon will get married........

If for real, I guess it's not so "good to be me" anymore. $300+ million (well, I guess half that if this is real) and no one to enjoy it with. Shannon's had enough cunny-linguini to hold her over - now she just wants the money.
I do not think this is staged. Psychologically it's the perfect time for Shannon to have this breakdown. Her youngest just left for college making her an empty nester for the first time. That need for change was even hinted in their show last night when she wanted to redecorate the house. It's clear this one photo or one event didn't push her over but rather a life time of feeling mistreated. Being true to her mother instincts she never involved the kids with her feelings until now that they are grown up and have "left the coop". Watching past episodes it's obvious Shannon always wanted to get married but to Gene it wasn't of importance. She has spent a good portion of her life taking care of the children and having to take up Gene's absent role on many occasions. Now it's very evident Shannon wants to be taken care of emotionally more than ever, I however doubt that Gene can provide her with a feeling of mental ease and safety.

I thougt some time ago Gene took a lie dector test and one of the questions was has he made it with another woman since being with Shannon. And he past. Possibly to get another show going this is all a big thing to get the public to support the show so he can make billions again. Hes an old tired guy and this new adventure will make him young again?

I have watched their show and thought the family was pretty nice. It seems that Shannon was previously wrapped up in raising the kids and now that they are gone is looking for 'her' and the actions of Gene are now amplified for her now that her attention is not diverted to the kids. I don't condone what he does but if she did not clamp down on him in the last 28 years it's a little late now. Gene, like most men probably does not understand what is going on with her now that the kids are gone and at his age is not apt to change. Both of them need to do some self examination.

It's a set-up. Completely staged!!!!!!! I've read the previews for the third episode and things are fine between them with Shannon planning surprises for Gene as they go away somewhere. It's about ratings! Too bad though – Joy was put in a bad spot.

Shanon Tweed (who si actually a good actor) has always been too good for Gene Simmons. It seems she is finally realizing it.
The Gene Simmons show is not a patch on the Ozzy and Sharon reality show. Both shows are very fake with staged scenes, but Ozzy is at least funny and crazy. Gene, on the other hand, is a tad creepy. Maybe too much botox, but he is expressionless. Hard to say if he is serious or not when he says some of the things he says.
I'm guessing that the walkoff is a ratings ploy. If she has stuck by home for 28 years likely she will not leave.
Simmons and his plastic wife are simply playing the "Trump" card. That is, hitting every media outlet and staging fights to boost viewer ratings. Their "reality" show is SO scripted and predictable.
the 2 kids she's raised (basically by herself) are out of the house now. She's going thru empty nest syndrome. A lot of couples have issues when their kids finally leave to be on their own. Moms don't know what else to do since they've spent all those years being "Mom". Shannon needs her man to be with her and act like a grown up instead of a pre pubescent adolesent.

Shannon doesn't need a sad excuse for a man like Simmons is. She needs herself and kudos to her for finally finding herself. Many beautiful things are ahead for her since she finally got rid of the stink of the garbage.
I'm a huge KISS fan and love Gene, but I'm smart enough to acknowledge that a great rockstar does not mean he's a great partner or person. Shannon should move on, there's a lot more to life she could experience without him.

She stayed with him 28 years because of the kids... I watched Family Jewels last night and that is what she said. It makes sense too. I know it's not an excuse to stay with someone but when you think about the kids, sometimes it's the best thing to suck it up and wait until they are out of the house. I don't mean it's the best if you are always yelling to one another but she was tough enough to just keep it in for the sake of the kids. If you would have watched the show you would understand why she stayed with him.

I don't think this tension is scripted. If they deceive their audience, it will become obvious very quickly when the new season starts and that show will be over. Simmons is nothing to look at, but the heart looks past that. Obviously Tweed has hoped against hope for decades that Simmons would make an honest woman of her and against her better judgment has allowed Gene to have his cake and eat it, too.
I think she's totally serious about moving on. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that in California their relationship is considered a common-law marriage, and she would get a sizeable share of his assets.
Whatever he did, allegedly did, claims to have done, admitted to have done, there was no excuse for Gene to be set up and lamblasted as he was, espectially by someone with as low corresponding esteem as Behar (someone who could not get a man...or anyone for that matter) herself. Gene's pretty intelligent by Hollywood standards, but also pretty crude. I'd highly recommend googling his interview on "Fresh Air" with Teri Gross. Hard to find, and one of the extremely few interviews not allowed by the interviewee to be released for rebroadcast, one would assume due to Gene's extreme ignorance and irreverance.

Rather strange when last season he took a lie detector test that stated he is truthful in that he had been with no other women since he has been with Shannon. I think they are beefing this up to improve their ratings. I hope so, at least, because they really are a cute couple. They have a family together, a home together, a life together. A piece of paper will not make their commitment any better but it would be nice if they would take 10 minutes and get married.

I remember that Terry Gross interview. WOW – what an a ss! Shannon CAN do much better than this pig, yet she stays for the money and prestige – which is actually bondage and humiliation. I've always liked both Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed and i can understand that Shannon may want a change in their life together, but you really can't teach and old dog new tricks. Shannon isn't blind, deaf and dumb. She has been all-too well aware of his "indiscretions" over the time they've been together and those that occurred before she ever came into his life as well. If she is unhappy now, she should do whatever it is she wishes to change that, but to think that Gene is going to give up how he lives his life now is rather naive.
