Jennifer Hudson lands role in 'Three Stooges'The ever-growing "Three Stooges" cast has added another member. According to Deadline, Jennifer Hudson has landed the role of Sister Rosemary in the Farrelly brothers’ “Three Stooges.” The Oscar winner isn’t the only nun on set, though: Larry David has signed on to play Mother Mengele and Jane Lynch will fill the role of Mother Superior. Deadline’s guessing that Hudson will play the nice nun at the orphanage where Larry, Moe and Curly are raised, as Lynch’s Mother Superior will be busy doing whatever it takes to get the three pranksters adopted and out of there. With Hudson on board, there are now three nuns for each of the “Three Stooges,” spots that were filled after an exhaustive search. To recap: Sean Hayes landed the role of Larry, Will Sasso will be your Curly, and Chris Diamantopoulos will portray Moe.

The original Three Stooges worked because of the time period...which can pretty much be said of most comedies. Translating it to modern times is ridiculous. The Stooges was pretty much nonstop slapstick comedy...this cannot be done now and be funny. Who wants to see 90 minutes of eyepoking and slapping? Let alone that monkeylipped cow Hudson being a part of this.
