I wonder does the msnbc series lockup has it wrong since everybody on blogs says 80% of prison inmates are black. On the show they travel to prisons and interview inmates. It looks to me the population is 50-50 but you all say other wise.

I think that it is great for Chris Brown to make a come back. His career is about music not about his personal life. I do not condone his behaviour and he does need some anger management classes and maybe a little time out of the spot light to work on himself. He is young and he has the opportunity to change.....He definately should take a more active role in advocating the stopping of domestic abuse and maybe people would think he was more serious and sorry about the events that transpired.

Sadly, some of you "adults" on here crucifying this young man and slandering him and calling him foul names are no better. Chris is paying his dues and moving forward with his life. You guys are proving that age is nothing but a number. You want him to grow up, but are you guys acting any mature by slandering him?

And CNN, it's funny how you don't want to give props where they are due. You're so descriptive when it comes to his negative news, but don't want to be the same way when positive things happen to him. You all are a part of the problem!

Congrats to him!! I hear his music everywhere now, which is a far cry from last year. His song Dueces was #1 for 10 weeks and his album was #1 as well. America knows what they want! Well deserved, his talent is undeniable and I can't wait to tune in to see his performance. Congrats to all the nominees this will be a must-see.

@ b-dog dude give it a rest he beat her she he hit him 1st so what! He did his court mandated community service. Enough time to let him move on with his life. All of complianing bout it is not going to change anything. To many women are abused everyday that you people can help and don't ,but you chose to hate him instead of helping in your community

I'm not surprised that BET nominated him. I remember when they nominated and honored R. Kelly during his 'child molestation' trial. I hope it's a shutout and he wins nothing. Nothing from nothing is nothing and deserves nothing. I will be boycotting the show this year.

wow you act like you have never made a mistake in your life. nobody is perfect, i don't approve of domestic violence just saying everybody deserved a second change, if she moved on from it why cant everybody else. how would you like for someone to keep throwing up what you did in your past to your face. his real fans are loyal to him no matter what, so let it be. this is whole thing is starting to get annoying but i guess what ever he do is not going to be enough for you.

Hope the host of the show is a man. If a man asks a question he doesnt like he probably wont do anything. Hes a punk. But if its a woman? Shes better ask carefully b/c we all know whatll happen if she says something he doesnt like. 2nd chance? Please. Hes a grown man not a kid. He knows better. And as a celebrity he should know everything you do is remembered forever. Dont want anyone to know? Simple. Then just dont do it. Control yourself like a grown man should.

      1 Thessalonians 5:2
For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night.
If the "date" is known then it would be against what the Word of God says about that date.
Read the bible before you imagine when the Rapture will be.

      John 8:7
But when they persisted in asking Him, He straightened up, and said to them, "He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."
I also wonder why all the media attension seems to skip the fact that she smashed him in the face with a phone to instigate the incident. Not that I in any way condone what he did next, but I also do not condone what she did either.

Sorry, but not this one. He is not only an out of control angry man, woman abuser, but is also a mediocre singer. He doesn't deserve any award at all. I think he got a big "sponsor" that want him to succeed for some reason...
He is a dangerous man that belongs to prison, and he is free instead. Hmmmm, who is supporting him? Maybe people who don't care about how dangerous he is, just because they identified with him?? Sad, very sad, but not surprising; Remember OJ Simpson?

Why am I not surprised that he's up for a BET award?? Anyone who voted for him basically says that domestic violence is OK, if you say sorry, and then dance around and fake cry to a MJ song, while making high pitch noises that sounded like whales mating while stomping on the ground and pounding your chest. Whenever I cry I need to use my entire arm to wipe the tears away... PLEASE.

And to all the.... "We don't know what REALLY happened in that car", "He made a mistake", "What about Charlie Sheen and Mel Gibson", and all the other BS used to defend him, SAVE IT. We all saw the pictures, he beat the daylights out of her. He's already had 2 mini breaks, lets see what happens when OJ, I mean CB cracks.
