'Showbiz Tonight' Flashpoint: Paula and Simon, together againFormer “American Idol” judge Simon Cowell has made it official! He and Paula Abdul are reuniting. Simon just hired his fellow ex-“Idol” judge for his Fox show, “X Factor.” The show, no doubt, would have been poised for success without her, but hiring Paula really steps it up. And I think it’s great for her. I know Paula really wanted to make it on her own (her CBS show “Live To Dance” tanked), but America loves her in this role and the chemistry with Simon, strange as it can be, is lightning in a bottle.
