Scott Baio to play a dad in new Nick at Nite sitcomHappy days are here again for Scott Baio. The artist formerly known as Chachi is set to return to TV in Nick at Nite's first original sitcom, reports Deadline. "Daddy's Home" will feature Baio as actor David Hobbs, who, after 10 years of playing a beloved TV dad, makes good on a deal with his wife to give up his career and raise their three young children so she can resume her soap opera career. "I've been wanting to do a kids show," Baio tweeted on Friday. Baio's last long-running sitcom was the 1984-1990 cult classic "Charles in Charge." More recently, he starred in the VH1 reality series "Scott Baio Is 45… and Single" and "Scott Baio Is 46… and Pregnant." Are you looking forward to Baio's new Nick at Nite show?

YES; I love Chachi!! However, only people who grew up on Happy Days can appreciate him or perhaps, maybe but probably not Charles in Charge. That show was way past me but I loved Happy Days and I loved Scott Baio. I wish him much luck and best wishes 🙂

He was an annoying goof of a character in the waning years of Happy Days. DON'T bring him back.
Fortunately, I've never had occasion to watch a Scott Baio show before, but he seems to have an edge to his personality now and it might be interesting to see how that translates to a modern comedy. I wish him luck with his network and writers.
