Bill O'Reilly to play suspect on 'Rizzoli & Isles'

Bill O'Reilly is no stranger to stirring up controversy, but he's about to get himself into some big trouble... on-screen.

The outspoken Fox News anchor will play a murder suspect on an upcoming episode of the TNT detective series "Rizzoli & Isles." (TNT is owned by the same parent company as CNN.)

O'Reilly—who will star as himself on the show—landed the killer role after visiting the set and touring the autopsy room last year, reports TV Guide.

"He took one look at the autopsy table and said, 'Yeah a lot of people would like to see me on that,'" says show creator Janet Tamaro, who has been pals with O'Reilly since working with him at the news series "Inside Edition." "I said, 'Well, how about you come back and do a guest spot.'"

O'Reilly, who is also friends with the series' conservative star Angie Harmon, will shoot his episode in July for a summer air date. Season 2 of "Rizzoli & Isles" kicks off July 11.

BillyBoy has a very nasty, mean temper. Aside from his forced vocabulary, he will play the part well if its a low life street merchant with no life and a rap sheet a mile long. First scene: him gulping pints in an Irish Pub and cursing like a sailor, sporting multiple tattoos and a spikey hairdo and earring. Remove some moles, don't want him looking to militant, and there ya go – an ex-member of the IRA set lose on American streets to wreek havoc. A perfect suspect!

I am a 'middle of the roader".....I used to watch Fox News network (for a period of nearly 3 years straight). Both parties and supporters lie quite often, tell partial truths and lead you to drink their water. (I don't count the extreme T-partiers as a real viable party yet). I also do not watch MSNBC – they were also prediduced in their own way – although not to the extreme extent of Fox. I will never vote for anyone who has been a paid contributor for Fox. Bill O is a walking talking joke......"np spin" = not true. When I saw him interrupt the President 40+ times for the Super Bowl interview....he made himself look like an idiot..........

Now, I've said mean things about conversatives, and I've said covertiveriters are't worth a buck of warm "spit," and certainly I've ragged on the comercialitiveistics over and over, but those "conservitives" are just plain off-limits. Why? Because they are as crazy as a shifthouse rat.

Add some playful humor into it and you may be amazed how open minded one can be. By the way, your comments above have nothing to do with the original subject matter. Well, he is a man who made a great fortune infalming people with talk about "Culture Wars" calling himself a Culture Warrior. He regularly name-calls people, referring to them as pin-heads for committing the sin of having a differing opinion. Also, he is a liar:
O'Reilly falsely claimed Bush didn't oppose 9-11 Commission.
O'Reilly fabricated "Paris Business Review" as source for success of French boycott.
O'Reilly claimed "Socialistic" French, Germans, and Canadian governments tax at 80 percent. Not true.

But then again, lying is a great and proven money-maker! It has been for centuries. Donald Trump spit out a whole bunch of lies about Obama and got to be #1 in the polls on the Repub side for a while. Republicans told lies about Health Care Reform being a way to have government kill grandma. Lying is the way to fame, money, and power. Don't fault him for making tons of money and being a success by telling lies. He's just being a rational person, the rewards he gets for telling lies far outweigh the damage done to America by those lies in his eyes.

In the final analysis, he is already a great actor, lying into the camera every day with smug self satisfaction that his destructive lies earn him more money in a year than most of his viewers will see in a lifetime of work. He will be great on R&I.

I don't care, and no one needs to be ashamed of themselves for this. I don't like O'Reilly, but I don't see the harm on him guest starring on this low-rated cable show. He is a murder suspect after all ....

Only two concerns really, 1. O'Reilly is the super slueth of the week, coming up with the killer before anyone else. Not a big deal, but seems alittle on the nose.

    2. The murder victim is some clone of Olberman or Maddow. That would seem dumb.

One more concern would be the murder was some liberal conspiracy against O'Reilly to frame him for murder, or was staged to improve ratings for their show/blog/radio program. The would be lame.
