'Glee' to become 3-D movie

If you can’t get tickets to see “Glee Live! In Concert!” when the cast of the hit show goes on tour, Fox has come up with a solution.

“Glee Live!” is being produced as a 3-D movie, to be directed by “Fame” helmer Kevin Tancharoen and will be released for a two-week period starting August 12.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the movie will follow the on-stage and backstage antics of the “Glee” crew as they hit the road this summer. Cast members Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Amber Riley, Chris Colfer, Kevin McHale, Jenna Ushkowitz, Mark Salling, Dianna Agron, Naya Rivera, Heather Morris and Harry Shum, Jr. have already been announced as tour participants.

Relatively new "Glee" stars Chord Overstreet and Darren Criss are also on board, and Ashley Fink and members of the Warblers are also expected to pop up in the movie. Two mainstays who haven’t been mentioned are Jane Lynch and Matthew Morrison.

Either way, Ryan Murphy has promised that "Glee Live! 3D!" will be worth the cost of a 3-D ticket.

“We knew that not every fan who wanted to attend a concert would get that opportunity,” he told THR. “Now, thanks to our friends at Twentieth Century Fox Film, we’ll be able to bring the concert experience to movie theaters across the country in full three dimensional glory. We promise every passionate ‘Gleek’ a cinematic experience that will have them singing and dancing in the aisles.”

I'd buy a ticket to see it, because I know I'm going to get a Slurpee thrown in my face.

Just to see Harry Shum Jr. dance is worth the price of admission all by itself.

I don't care that there's a Glee movie coming out. But why does it need to be in 3D?

I never have to look at your user name to know it's Evel Knievel. All I have to see is the same trolling BS, "fudge packer" and "gay". I guess originality isn't your forte, huh Evel? I would tell you to get another hobby, but it must be really easy for you and your cottage cheese behind to part with your Barker Lounger and spew hatred all over the internet. You may wanna give Glee a chance… it may be just the thing to help you deal with all your “hidden” feelings.

Really youve got to be kidding how is taking insperation from a t.v. show any different from being inspired by a book or a story in the newspaper. last time I checked there arnt conditions attached to what is allowed to be inspirational. Whether you lke the show are not its message is to be tolerant and understanding of people no matter how different they are...sound pretty positive to me why anyone would not want people to be inspired by that idk.

the show. You want to like it, go ahead, but we don't need people having an orgasm over it, like our friend Ethan up there. Self-control is very important in life.

Money talks n ur BS well it just makes me giggle and then feel sad for you.

No disrespect to these fanboys (and fangirls) out there, but if you're taking inspiration and positive messages from a FICTIONAL TV SHOW, there is something wrong with you. I am not trying to insult anyone's intelligence or way of thinking, but since when did television ever teach anyone values or virtues that can only be taught through real life? Anyone who said things like "It is a really great show that promotes our happy new lifestyle" needs to get their heads checked, because fiction should not be the basis for life. I mean, you don't see parents praising The Simpsons for teaching them how to raise their kids or stuff like that.

Besides, I do not see the appeal of Glee. All I know is it is being forced down the throats of every TV viewer out there, and to make a movie about it...IN 3-D? What are they smoking?

Also, I have no problem with fans liking

If you're interested in men's underwear shed a few pounds and I'm sure someone will let you hold them. Or go and ask a black dude, they have no limits on whale hunting

Why can't the people who enjoy Glee just be left alone to enjoy Glee without being ridiculed? There are lots of things that I personally think are stupid, but it's not my place to tell you that you're stupid because you like them.

I agree. At least no one gets murdered on GLEE. Try to find a show in prime time that doesn't have people being killed. How wholesome is that? No wonder there's so much violence in America.

Doubt I will see it even though I do like the show. But either way.... why in 3D? That is the real part that sucks the most! Not everything has to be in 3D.

I love Glee and look forward to the movie, however, I wish the writers would go back to the original idea from the first season. A football player/ jock who has to deal with the peer pressure of joining a not so cool club. The characters were realistic. This year, not so much – I could perhaps believe Artie with Brittany but Puck with the overweight girl and Santana being gay just is too out there. I'm the only one in my family that watches the show any more (because I love the music) and I worry the show is going to lose a lot of it's original audience.

Bob, you're a tool. Most people don't dislike actors because they peter puff. Most people dislike the show because in and of itself, it is ultra-turbo gay.
