Kristen Stewart: 'Breaking Dawn' could be bloodier

Enough with the romance: Kristen Stewart is ready to bring out the gore.

The 21-year-old actress and star of the "Twilight: Saga" franchise told Entertainment Weekly that the oh-so-buzzed about "Breaking Dawn" birth scene isn’t as gruesome as she would have hoped.

“It’s funny because when [the PG-13 issue] comes up, everybody thinks it’s all about the sex,” Stewart said.

(For those who don’t know, the "Twilight" books contain both a honeymoon scene and a really, well, bloody pregnancy and birth. Stewart promises that the honeymoon part of the movie “feels like a real love scene, not necessarily vampire-y, which is good.”)

But back to the gore: Stewart said she thinks the birth scene is “really effective, and I’ve heard it really hits you in the face. But what it could have been? It could have been shocking and grotesque, because that’s how it was written in the book.”

The actress wistfully added, “I would have loved to have been puking up blood.”

Better luck next time, KStew. Director Bill Condon, however, assures Twihards that he still followed the storyline as closely as possible.

“We shot everything — whether it’s the lovemaking or the childbirth — as potent and powerful as it can be,” Condon told EW. “It will be interesting to see whether there will be people who think it too disturbing for this universe.”

See for yourself when “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part I” arrives in theaters on November 18, with the second part bowing in November 2012.

  8. what was the first part about again???

A year between movies?? I thought HP was bad.... A year is fine if it's separate books but to finish a story a year apart? Ridiculous.
