It's almost done for another 'Idol' contestantWe are getting closer and closer. Tonight's "American Idol" will send another person home, who will join the crew pictured above. On the other hand - tonight will bring us one step closer to our next winner. But here's a question for you: Do you think Steven Tyler will be able to rein in his language tonight?
The "Idol" judge dropped the F-bomb Wednesday night after Casey Abrams performed a rocking rendition of Maroon's 5's "Harder to Breathe" and surprised judge Jennifer Lopez with a kiss on the cheek. "There are millions of people in America that are really angry because you piss them off cause you're bleep, bleep, bleep," Tyler said, resulting in an open-mouthed Abrams and a chorus of "Whoas" from host Ryan Seacrest and the audience. Tyler is known for speaking his mind, but this live gaffe appeared to cause some scrambling among the show's producers. According to Entertainment Weekly, the show's exec producer Nigel Lythgoe "spent a good 30 seconds standing with his hand buried into his hair." "Eventually he, Fox reality TV head Mike Darnell, and Fox TV chairman Peter Rice, the big boss man himself, made their way over to the judges table, practically surrounding Steven," the publication reports. "But everyone was, at least outwardly, all smiles. Rice and Tyler even hugged it out, although Rice did then appear to have a more serious conversation with Tyler while a make-up artist touched up the lip marks on [Tyler's] left cheek." The Hollywood Reporter asks, "But did Steven forget kids are watching the show? What’s with all of the expletives?" Not that Tyler is a stranger to working blue. Earlier in the season the rocker was jokingly presented with a "bleep sign" to use. We'll see if he has to use it tonight. Go ahead and make your predictions for who's getting the boot, and be sure to join me as I live blog the results show. |

Ah, the Wolfman getting his groove on. Lame. Interesting character and a decent enough lounge act for a jazz club but his teeth-clenching gig will be over soon enough.http://bit.ly/lJIjVP
I don't care one bit that Steven Tyler curses a blue streak! Let him! Fox has plenty of time to bleep it out, and everyone loves to hear it!! It's an exciting/horrifying/true-to-form emotion and is an authentic freedom of speech. He is one of THE kindest people on the planet, and is a rocker–you know what you're getting w/Steven –he wears his emotions as he wears clothes. Let 'er rip, Steven!!!!
Please let it be Mcgilla The Gorilla that gets eliminated! AI is not the place for apes to perform. Thats what the zoo is for. Or the circus. Uh oh Steven...Better watch what your saying b/c theres little kiddies watching the show.
I like Lauren the most. She doesn't have the big ego like people like Casey and Haley. I think she has a great voice and she's getting better everytime. It would be great to have an Idol who's a girl for a change. Lauren has a great voice and a nice personality. I hope she wins!
I think the bottom 3 will be Casey, Haley and probably Jacob.
That's who he is, why would you want him to be any different?? He says it the way he sees it and always has!!!
Everyone loves it. They knew Tyler would be 'colorful' when they hired him!
His hairstyle and tgenlh of hair on video of interview and at the time he got passport is the same. So is his dress, same shirt, same necktie. I would guess the video was made on the same day.
It's all scripted. But people enjoy it, so who cares.
Bottom three=Stefano, Jacob, Haley
Going home=Stefano
agreed
I'm starting to think this season's talent isn't THAT great anymore. If Simon were still around, he'd say James is annoying and screechy, Haley is forgettable, Casey is weird, Lauren is "good but not great," Jacob isn't marketable, Stephano doesn't connect with the audience, and Scotty sounds the same every single week. Anyway, Haley is going home tonight, and if not her it's Stephano.
Scotty, Jacob, and James are all safe. Bottom 2 are Stefano and Casey with Stefano going home. 3rd spot from the bottom is hard to pick – Lauren or Haley. Those are not my preferences, just my predictions.
Steffano Langone NEEDS TO BE GONE. He's been coasting for far too long on popularity. Jacob definitely Epic Failed last night. If they could get rid of two of them it wouldn't phase me at all.
Final three will be: James, Casey and Haley.
I am SOOO sick of the whiney one who thinks he such the playa... Stefano. Bleck! I never liked him and I can't beleive he's still there. Wouldn't mind Jacob going either, he is kinda irritating.
For starters,up top there, I haven't said anything yet. Now I will. Whoever you are up there, I agree, I can't watch Jacob anymore! Nice voice, but hand him a tissue. He always looks like he's gonna cry. I can't take it anymore!! Sorry Jacob fans.
I totally agree. Jacob has a great voice, but his personality is so off-putting, I would never buy a record from him. Sooo over.
I think Jacob has seen the end of the road of Idol tonight. JAMES SHOULD AND MUST STAY TILL FINALE!!!!!!
let it be james –
You have got to be kidding!
POOOOOONNN
cant haley lift her dress just once for me?
anagram above
Pick Out One Nice Singer
Pleeze let it be Scotty
Hopefully Jacob.
