Celebrity spotting at Coachella

It was Friday afternoon, just before Cee Lo Green was supposed to take the main stage. Actress Vanessa Hudgens and a group of friends (including rumored new boyfriend Josh Hutcherson) were sitting on the grass, minding their own business and waiting for the performance to start. And that's when they descended.

First it was just a photographer or two, but soon a number of paparazzos surrounded the group, snapping pictures from a distance of about five feet.

A couple of Hudgens' male friends rose to their feet and starting taking photos of the paparazzi, distracting them as the young actress made a run for it.  She dashed out of the VIP area and sprinted across the field near the Main Stage, losing her floppy hat and nearly her low-slung pants in the process.   FULL POST

Ahead of the Curve: Weekly pop culture cheat sheet

We have all been inundated with pictures like this one from the upcoming “Water for Elephants” for weeks, and the wait is finally over.

On April 22, the movie based on Sara Gruen's novel of the same name and starring Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon will be coming to theaters. It's about a veterinary student, Jacob Jankowski (Pattinson) who is about to complete his final exams when he is suddenly thrown into taking care of animals at a circus. During his time there, he falls in love with Marlena, played by Witherspoon, an equestrian star who is married to an abusive animal trainer.

TV Land Awards: Red carpet exclusives

As you may have heard, the "TV Land Awards 2011" are set to premiere tonight at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

The show was pre-taped last Sunday, and we were able to conduct a few red carpet interviews with cast members from "Family Ties," "The Cosby Show" and "The Facts of Life," as well as Regis Philbin.

When we asked Philbin why he thinks he was selected to win the Legend Award, the ever-jovial TV vet joked, "I think they ran out of other legends - they're all gone! I'm the last one left!"
