Not even those sneaky Salahis could save the "Real Housewives of D.C."
The network confirms to CNN that the Washington, D.C., edition of the popular "Housewives" franchise has officially been canceled.
"We had an amazing season and we told stories that were unique to any other in the franchise. I wish all our D.C. wives the best and hope to work with them again in another capacity,” Andy Cohen, Bravo’s executive vice president of original programming and development, told the Washington Post.
The news comes as no surprise to "Housewives" fans, who criticized the cast - Cat Ommanney, Lynda Erkiletian, Mary Amons, Stacie Turner, and of course, White House crasher Michaele Salahi - for being boring. Though the women frequently clashed with Salahi and her husband Tareq over their over-the-top claims and behavior, the series failed to generate much buzz.
Cohen, however, vows that the women won't disappear from the network completely.
"In fact," he told the Post, "Cat is booked on our April 28 ‘Watch What Happens Live Royal Wedding Spectacular.' "
