'Flight of the Concords' star joins 'The Hobitt'

There's a new elf in "Hobitt" land.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Flight of the Concords" star Bret McKenzie has joined the cast of the eagerly awaited Peter Jackson directed film "The Hobbit."

The adaptation of the J.R.R. Tolkien classic recently began production in McKenzie's native New Zealand and follows the character Bilbo Baggins' quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor.

Fans of the Emmy-nominated  "Flight of the Concords" already know that McKenzie and his co-star Jemaine Clement  have a special affection for Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings" series.

MoPoop,You just can't help yerusolf not to stuff ballotboxes or audiences.CNN ought to be forced to host a Democrat debate where disguised GOP operatives get to ask all the questions.Watch the Democrats run from that as none of their candidates will answer a fair question squarely and truthfully.

So they can fix "Concords" but not "Hobitt"? Is this site for real?

Cereasly? Hobitt? In the headline, and the lead. I loved the consistency, until they actually got it right in the second paragraph. That's not how you spell Conchords either...dumases.

Not only did they misspell "hobbit," but also "Flight of the Conchords." C'mon guys, a quick Google to check never killed anyone...

Hobitt? Really? You spelled it "Hobitt"?

(And, for those reading after a possible correction, it was originally written 'Hobitt'.)

Just in case you were wondering, Bret McKenzie was in the original LOTR as well, although just as an extra for 1 movie and then he had one line (when he tells Arwen to get going because she's distracted by her vision) so although this is news, he technically isn't a "new" elf, just back.
