So so sorry, Charlie...

So so sorry, Charlie...

I wanted to love it. Really, I did. So did everyone else walking into the Fox Theater in Detroit on Saturday night. No one knew what to expect, but people paid lots of money to see what Charlie Sheen was going to bring.

My hometown of Detroit - America's comeback city - was playing host to Charlie's own big comeback. It was going to be like group therapy: A city defeated, but in the middle of resurrecting itself, just like Charlie.

The people in that audience felt like they had a lot in common with the Warlock. He enjoys his vices, and stood up to his bosses in corporate America. Detroit fans came ready for him to bring some of that #winning.

I bought more than $100 bucks worth of merchandise and I wasn't alone. The lines were long for people wanting a little bit of Charlie. The lines were long for beer, too... It was going to one big raucous party, Charlie-style.

The show was supposed to begin at 8 p.m., but like any concert, it took a while for anyone to take the stage. People were drinking beer in plastic cups and the crowd was mellow. Charlie showed up and introduced his stand-up comedian friend who was "opening" for him.

Maybe this guy was funny in a small comedy club, but this was a huge, sold-out venue. Eventually he was heckled off the stage by an increasingly intoxicated crowd.

Then came the big lull.... The lights came up and a DJ started playing party tunes. Finally, the two women whom Charlie chose from YouTube submissions came on stage to sing the National Anthem. Looking back, this was the best part of the show.

Charlie returned to the stage and put on a "Two and a Half Men" shirt, took it off and ordered the "goddesses" to burn it. At this point, the crowd was still with him. He put on a Detroit Tigers jersey and nearly got a standing ovation.

That's pretty much where the love-fest ended.

During the entire show, he had a multimedia display on stage, showing his new app "Mansheen." He rambled on about warlock life and the trolls. This is funny for five minutes. 20 minutes? MAKE IT STOPI!!

Charlie kept trying to talk to the crowd and wanted them to ask him questions. He couldn't hear as people shouted out. He then decided to play a clip from a movie he wrote and produced in the mid-'80s called "RPG" (rocket propelled grenade), starring a very young Johnny Depp. Apparently, it was about redemption. Naturally, everyone started booing.

Charlie ended the clip abruptly, went back on stage and said, "I get it. You want more of me." So he began to tell stories about crack. Yes, crack. He told the audience that Detroit would understand stories about people on crack. Not funny. Cue the audience beginning to yell, "Reeeeeeeefund reeeeefunnd!"

And that's when the mass exodus began.

Charlie said, "I get it. You want big musical numbers." He introduced a singer who introduced the video for Snoop Dogg's new song, "Winning." The only problem was, Snoop wasn't even there. After the video played, Charlie never came back to officially end the show. For the first time in his life, it looked like Charlie was leaving the party early.

As I watched the tour bus pull away at about 1 a.m., en route for the second sold out date in Chicago, I just felt sad for Charlie. I wanted him to win and win in my hometown. Both needed each other. Maybe tonight in Chicago.... #keepinghopealive

For the latest on Charlie Sheen, watch HLN's "Showbiz Tonight" at 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. ET on Monday.

I think Charlie Sheen is panicking because he is getting old and lost his job. Instead of acting desperate and try to be funny at all cost while everybody is just tired of him, he should take a break, go and spend a year of two in the Bahamas, stop making a full of himself, and wait until something comes along. He could do some broadway shows in the meantime for example if he wants to be busy but not in spotlight. Even the best actors aren´t always in the spotlight they come and go.

His stand up comedy was comparable to how bad The Snitchuation slaughtered an attempt to roast the miraculous "Trump Card" Donald Trump. Which for all who didn't see it, he ended up getting booed off the stage like i wish Sheenie Weenie would have

Its really sad to see the fact that he is a bigger headline than what is taking place over seas. I did a tour in Afghanistan in 2009 and im sure 85% of all people at that show would rather listen to his pathetic p*ss poor performance than hear what is really going on behind the scenes, and without media as a middle man. Ridiculous beyond measure.

Всем привет. Наткнулся недавно на статью, в которой говорится что ученые американской Академии наук (NAS) утверждают, что конец света наступит 22 сентября 2012 года. Причем это будет "конец света" в прямом смысле.

Saw both shows. Look, Charlie Sheen is a nut job jerk. In the past couple of months he's said some pretty awful/shocking things. Then, he says something shocking and the crowd goes bananas. You had to attend this show knowing it was going to be a train wreck. What on earth were the ticked off Michigan people expecting? I've attended many live performances... sometimes the CROWD is the problem and not the performer. People are too damn Politically correct and sensitive.

And Detroit!??!!! Who the h*ll cares what Detroit likes or doesn't like? I mean, they think Eminem is talented, so obviously they don't know squat.

How are all these j*ck*ss reviewers gonna look when he starts getting rave reviews in other cities? They're gonna look every bit as stupid as the jerks who were jeering, booing, and walking out. Sheen's only mistake was booking a toilet bowl like Detroit in the first place.

Charlie wanted to tell you this. "If you only knew the magnificence of the 3, 6 & 9; then you would have a key to the universe"
-Nikola Tesla Dead Six Months Before U.S. Supreme Court Decision 369.

It comes as an earthquake shock to people of the
earth, to learn that they are wrong till now in the world of science
which says there are no speeds greater than that of light.
Why would J.P. Morgan not tell you that he financed
Nikola Tesla sending faster than light data?
Because he did send The New York Times back to himself and The Times back in time.
Since the advent of Einstein, most scientists and
    physicists teach that speeds greater
than 186,800 miles per second are impossible in the
universe. Indeed, they lied to you and bet the farm.
E.H. Harriman and J.P. Morgan took part in Tesla's 1899 message to himself in 1896.
Faster-than-light (also superluminal or FTL) communications refer to the propagation of information faster than the speed of light. FTL and superluminal communications were sent and recieved by Nikola Tesla in secret fashion starting in the 1890s.

He isn't ANYTHING at all that has ever had anything to do with LIVE performances. He is a SCREEN ACTOR. He reads crap that happens to be funny because OTHER PEOPLE wrote it. He's good at delivering funny lines that other people made up. He doesn't have an original idea in his head or a creative bone in his body. He reads, gets wasted, beats women, goes to rehab, and reads some more. If not for his father, no one would have ever know who in the hell he was. So you paid to see him, spent money on "merchandise".. and left feeling ripped off. Congrats you ripped yourself off. All he did was the only thing he CAN do sans a director.... I wouldn't pay a penny to help fund Charlie's drug addiction but I'm sure that 50 percent of the people who went were Team Charlie and think he can do no wrong and want him to win the $100 million lawsuit. The other 50 percent are the same kind of people who like watching a boxing match and seeing someone get beaten to a pulp or who pay to go to a bullfight and see the animal die. Their enjoyment comes from hoping to see Charlie crash and burn live.

I disagree with the person who said we are awful people for liking his show then being shocked when he actually lived his life like the one he portrayed on TV. Not so, we enjoyed the show because it wasn't real and we could laugh at it knowing that. In real life someone acting that way and actually going one step further with drugs is not acceptable and horrifying. It's one thing to view pretend another thing to know he does it for real. We watch murder mystery movies for entertainment and are shocked about real murder events. Same thing.

Sitcoms, and dramas as well as all other forms of TV programming are there to fill the time in between commercials. Think about it, commercials are where the network gets their bread. Popular programs draw viewers, and thusly the network can charge accordingly for air time for companies to huck their products in commercials. I don't believe that Sheen got any 2 mil per episode, but it sure makes for good press for an already popular show. I watched it once, when all this hoopla started, to see what it was about. Charlie is smart, no doubt, so he can help himself when he realizes he needs help, until then he will remain insane and full of Charlie. Already he has forgotten what it took to get to the top, and soon will be looking up from the bottom to the only one who really loves him is the God that loves even me.

James, you are right on target.
Unfortunately, his family DID try to intervene, as did some others who've had addiction problems, including, I believe, Robin Williams, but they are fighting a losing battle against others around him. Unfortunately, he's surrounded by "enablers", people who support his living the way he does, so he's not going to change until THAT changes, he ends up committed, or worse. What some people don't seem to understand is, his "funny" bizarre actions are typical of megamania, a result of his addictions. There's LOTS of people in show business who make a great living off of enabling sick addicts like this.
He IS an addict. He's acting like an addict. People who buy tickets to his shows are just feeding those addictions and helping him further along a downward spiral.
His father went through the same thing and had similar psychotic episodes while filming "Apocalypse Now". His 11-year-old son witnessed all of that, was brought there to be a support to his father's trying to recover. Now he's going through the same thing. I find that sad and would no matter who he is and what he does. He's a human being.
He's just plain ill. The chemicals that keep a brain operating normally have been knocked WAY out of wack by all of the drugs (including booze) that he's flooded his brain with over time. Bad choices, easy access to drugs in the business, and probably a hereditary factor led to his addictions.
We all have a choice to either help him or hurt him or ignore him. If you want to hurt him, "support" him by rooting for him online, following him on Twitter, buy tickets, etc. If you want to help him, you can either ignore him, ask others to do so as well (removing some of his "support"), or support those who are trying to stop his actions or maybe just support some mental health organization instead.

Yet these ADULTS spent their hard earned money for THIS. This is not about Charlie Sheen – but the people that are spending their money and rewarding him. So don't you complain about his show. I think a lot of people have the misconception that everyone that bought tickets to Charlie Sheen's show were from Detroit. What you all do not know and I am from Detroit, and for the record did not buy a ticket to his show, but a lot of people that attended traveled from other cities. When they were interviewed by the media when the show was over the majority of the people they talked to came from Cananda, Oklahoma,San Francisco, NewYork etc. True a lot of people from Detroit bought tickets and the radio stations gave a lot of free tickets away and the media made it seem like it was sold out. It was so funny even the people that got FREE tickets wanted their money back! lol. He changed the show up in Chicago . And FYI everyone in Detroit is not stupid!

Everyone loves a train wreck....except the people 5 miles back in traffic, who ultimately pay for the interlopers who slow down, not only to gawk at the carnage, but the smidge-brains who continue rubber necking even after the mess is history.

That's what this is...history. The unmaking of C Sheens acting career, the psychosis of a drug induced or brain chemical-imbalanced delusions of grandeur – perhaps and most likely both.

Sheen will probably make a lot of money through, say five of these engagements. My personal opinion, and who else's would I posses, he'll break-down and cry like a baby for the worlds forgiveness and a good rehab exchange for future royalties.

Charlie Sheen is just like Charlie Harper, the character he played on 'Two and a half men'. Maybe that's why he played the part so well. There are important differences, however. Charlie Harper has great writers and a talented supporting cast around him. Charlie Sheen has neither. Seeing someone like Charlie Harper go through life as a booze-addled clown is funny on TV. I agree, our government has hundreds of times exercised it's power to restrain and impose treatment on those who are posing a danger to others and/or to themselves. Worst case scenario some reasonably innocent person or persons who came to close to the flame that is Charlie Sheen will die or be severely injured. Nest case scenario is Charlie alone being harmed. It is unbelievable that no one is willing to step in before the name Charlie Sheen joins ranks with the likes of Anna Nichole Smith, Michael Jackson, and John Balushi.

Marijuana is often blamed as the gateway drug because it's the easiest to acquire and not because it actually sets you up for addiction. Opiates and Barbiturates do that. But, the government likes to scare people and Nancy Reagan had her cause. Plus, the tobacco and alcohol lobbies like to deflect... and deflect... and deflect...

What does it say about people who will gladly fork over a hundred dollars to watch someone rant about their addiction and possible breakdown? What a sick society who seems to enjoy watching some addicted person rant nonsense and pay them, too. Pathetic all round, a trite and shallow situation.

Don't even know what Ms Brown said but Gentleman Brown's response is pretty funny!! Based on this story, $$ would have been better spent going to see GB's Comedy Tour.

You guys are the biggest haters! "Someone's doing this...someone said that. And none of it has to do with me" him a moron. That's the ticket. You think you're so freagin cool bc you can put down someone for seeing Charlie Sheen. Of course he's selling out venues. He's funny, crazy, popular, and everything you're probably not. So be a regular American and hate him.

      Definitely with Gman Brown here.

I do not know why Rachel Wells thinks Detroit needs Charlie because I definitely believe there would be better things to spend money on in Detroit and absolutely better ways to spend time.

Why people are so fascinated by someone who is destroying themselves and yet making money doing it, I have no idea.

Have we become that ignorant that we enjoy the participation of someones self-destruction? Or has it always been there but now it is just easier to do in the quick transport of information.

Some will say he is earning millions. So what?

Seems like he'll needs it with all of his children, his goddesses and ex-wives. That's just the start of the bills I would imagine. No, the sad thing is the court seats in the process. Those that sit on the edge of the action and enable the stupid moron because he has made millions. Maybe Robin Williams should pitch in because he is far more intelligent, talented and has had successful careers in both tv and movies and he had serious addiction problems.

Charlie's career ended a few months ago... now it's just being confirmed...
My guess is he will leave for a better place before the year is over... he is way to far out to get back...

Got that right he threw his net worth on 7 black and hit 13. I'm scared cause people paid to see him. If they paid to see me the beer would at least be free.

OK, it was Charlie Sheen, the one that is quit possibly having a very public nervous breakdowns and you're surprised he wasn't entertaining?? We pretty much get Charlies mental problems but any one buying tickets to a 'show' are more delusional then he is.

This is a reflection on the culture in America. Paris, Britt, Lindsay and now Charlie. Why is it that we love train wrecks? As a society, we feed this pathetic machine by paying to see the crash and expect more than of it. I'm not free of this culture either, but I am getting tired of feeding the beast. Can you imagine what would stop being printed or aired if we refused to read or watch? I'll start with myself. Will you join in and abstain?

Dude, hate to burst your bubble, but it isn't a nervous breakdown, it's drug induced psychosis. Honestly, it's only a matter of time before he becomes violent, either to himself or others.
He's literally, a Loughner in waiting, except Charlie went to better parties.
Warlock?! BORELOCK that needs substance and mental health treatment.
      The poor SOB.
