As if he's not busy enough with his own talk show, Jimmy Fallon has just landed himself a new gig as a tour guide. Beginning this spring, the funnyman will host the Studio Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Deadline reports that Fallon has signed on as the "virtual Studio Tour guide" and will appear on high-definition monitors in each tram car, introducing videos that complement the narration of the "live" guides.
"We really had fun with filming my role," says the "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" star. "We brought some writers out from our show and added some jokes, more play with the Studio Tour guides, the tram drivers, and we added a song or two.”
Guests on board the tram get to meet movie icons like King Kong and Jaws, and visit such memorable landmarks as the Bates Motel and Wisteria Lane.
"The tour itself is a classic, a really great experience," says Fallon. "For anyone with any interest in show business, it’s all there: the glamour, the glitz, all the hard work that goes into making a movie or a TV show can be experienced on the Universal Studios Hollywood Studio Tour. I’m very happy to be a part of it.”
