Gwyneth Paltrow: I'd love to record an album

Gwyneth Paltrow is going on the record and clearing up rumors that she is working on an album.

“The truth is, I really would love to make a record, but I don’t know exactly how you do that so it’s not cheesy,” the "Country Strong" star tells the Hollywood Reporter. "I would love to do it."

Paltrow recently recorded a duet of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" for "Glee" star Matthew Morrison's upcoming album, and says she has received "a lot of offers" to make a record of her own.

“I have to just figure out what I do want,” says the Oscar winner, who believes her disc would have an "indie" vibe. “I am having fun with it, though, even if it’s kind of giving me a mid-life crisis because I don’t know who I am anymore.”

Rocker hubby Chris Martin is helping her figure it all out ("I trust him so much," she says), but in the meantime she'll likely give her pipes another tune up by appearing on "Glee" next season.

“I have not signed a contract — it’s very loose,” says the star, who plays substitute teacher Holly Holiday. “I’m definitely done for this year, but to be honest I think it’s the best job I’ve ever had. All my friends love it because they say I finally get to play myself! I love it. I’m sure I’ll go back there at some point.”
